Peanut today, perched rather precariously over a nice hot cup of French Roast. I've gotta say, I don't think I've ever bonded with a knife so quickly as I have with this one. Keeper for sure. Thanks Mark!

Thanks Duane, observant as ever :) Yes, I took it at an 18th Century water mill I visited last weekend (keep meaning to post a thread about it). That's the smaller of the two working wheels in the background, the other (below) is a real beast! Both are breast-shot wheels. The mill was still a working concern until the mid 1970's when the weir on the river collapsed.

 
Thanks Andi & Jack , it's been my setup for the last few during my expedient home renovations , the peanut some fine cutting and when I only have one free hand ( I can open the pen blade one handed) the Opinel #9 my favorite work knife for brut work & the Eisenhower for cutting up snacks for my daughter between task. Everything was going so well until I arced the outlet in the kitchen at 6am and fried the breaker for the refrigerator on the first hot day we have had and the real estate agent coming in today, but it's fixed, minor set back, good thing I had my lucky coins.
