What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

One of my favorites right there ❤️

Going to the Niece's house for a BBQ at noon. I always like to arrive at her place early so I can pick out a spot in the shade and drop anchor for the day. I won't have to do any fetching as the Niece and her brood always make a plate for the "old man" and keep my beverages topped off for the duration. Getting old has its perks. I'll carry this SS Sowbelly.

This Barlow has all the right things going on. I’ve always loved this spear shape, especially with a matchstrike long pull.

I rarely carry a fixed blade, but I need one today. Grabbed this 44 since it's Saturday. Hope everybody has a great weekend.

This is 44 heaven.

I’ve loved it before. You can get stuck in a deep 29 rut. It’s tough to break free. You can do it Paul. It may take the support of the fine people on this forum, but I believe in you!
Bolsters and jigging on your Case is exceptional Jon.
Thanks sir! I’m spoiling myself by having such a pretty work knife!

Pick up #6. Could not resist this one; one of my favorite patterns. Beautiful jigging and color. Another S; all I found was very minor gaps along the back.

The 29 tractor beam is real!! At one point I had four. I really enjoy this pattern.

This is the String Bean from Deep Cuts Cutlery. I’ve been a big fan of Kyle’s work for a couple three years. He runs them hard and grinds them thin. This one is on the more extreme side.
Wow, so you walk around with a laser (no lateral pressure) on your belt? Thanks! (I think?) Guess I'll have to chase one of those now, between the fancy heat treat, thin stock, and flared copper pins, I'm not gonna be able to resist.
What I liked was there used to be signs warning to beware of “falling rocks”. As a child I was always told Falling Rocks was a Native American ghost that would get me if I wasn’t quiet in the back seat. I was probably wearing my Davey Crockett raccoon hat. I also remember no seat belts and my folks smoking up a storm with the windows rolled up.
Ah, the old days when child endangerment was just called "parenting". Now you kids be quiet back there - don't make me pull over this pickup.

It had me square, until I saw the sketch for the new BF knife - turns out that tractor beam is stronger (it's a spring thing).

Pulled about 20 miles before the heat settled in today. Made it south to the terminus of the Trolley Track Trail, along the Blue River (pictured) feeling very peppy and a bit smug about my pace, then turned around for the last 3/4 of my ride, and noticed I'd had a tailwind... Also forgot my apple, so had nothing to cut after I pulled my knives out 🤷‍♂️ Happy weekend Porch people!
