What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Think I've got the one on the top in my pocket.

I’ll be happy to talk your ear off about the fixed blade, but I’m gonna need the details on yours, too. Beautiful bone on the Schatt. 👌
Just realized that in a frenzy of newfound knife-lust, I forgot to return the favor. It's a David Kelley, Lil' Bit is the model I believe. It's simultaneously one of the smallest, and one of the the thickest knives I own. An odd combo - especially for me, but it cuts quite well, and I do use it for prying regularly. Thanks for compliment on the Schatt, I saw the jigging and translucency and had to have it 😘

Switched pocket carry a few minutes ago, when I realized the Lionsteel was missing the most important blade for the evening. A knife I will never part with, or get over. Cheers ladies and gents! 🍻

Many thanks my friend, I have very much enjoyed seeing your French acquisitions these past few months, they have great style, and I love to see patterns I am, largely, unfamiliar with :) I don't recall seeing the top knife before JJ, is it another new one? Two fine-looking knives for sure :)
Thank you for your kind words, Jack!!! Yes, that is my more recent find that is apparently made from a1930s blade batch. :)
Wishing everyone a great weekend :) Double Albers for me :)

Your Double Albers are a mighty fine example of old world craftsmanship, which seems harder to find in this "AI Age!" Super cool cutters. too! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Second leg of family vacation, we made it to my Uncle’s outside of Winthrop WA last night. Great drive from Spokane, rolling farmland to twisty mountain roads along the Columbia then Methow rivers. Pretty decent view from the back yard. IMG_7890.jpeg
Full load out.

Another view, short walk up a forest service road. IMG_7895.jpeg

Nice quiver of knives you have for your trip.
Apparently, your uncle has a little slice of heaven there.👍🏻

Hopefully some yardwork today :)

Stunning pair Steve
What a coincidence! Just bought this last week in a second hand store, the Danish title translated back to English again is: Up in the blue. What a tragic story. Gonna start it this next week.

You will be captivated by the sad truths.
It's a book that stays with you

I love the way they are using that old stock in France JJ, even today there must be thousands of old blades knocking about in Sheffield - a lot of Joseph Rodgers old stock ended up in the River Sheaf! Thank you my friend, Eric is doing superb work, he is our link to the past :) I sure hope he doesn't get replaced by Robo-Eric!

I grabbed these two stag slicers for today. :)
What a fantastic pairing, I'd never noticed the similarity between those two before, and they compliment each other well. Wonderful photography JJ

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and have a great Sunday :) Double Lambsfoot Day for me ;)
