What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This is the legendary Hat Man on the streets of Charleston, SC. According to our Ghost Tour guide, Hat Man would slip down into the sewers when the street light illuminating his mural would flicker or fail, then sneak into houses and eat small children that would refuse to listen to their parents. 😂
Wow thanks for sharing that gem 😳 Sounds like the inspiration for Pennywise? Hey kid, you want a balloon?

I glad that things worked out for us to be able to get together as I had a great time as well. I hope you'll get many years of use out of that 86.

“… Thanks Paul, undoubtedly all those eyes are evil 💀 I like that SAK, looks like a custom w/ ti scales? I was on the fence on the titanium scale upgrade until I felt the grip in hand - massive improvement over the stock ALOX.”
Thanks, FC … evil in a good way though, right? 🙄
Yes, it’s an Electrician with custom Ti scales, and yes, very grippy and yet comfortable … if you’re on the fence, my recommendation is go for it!
😉

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! :)

I’m carrying a gift from a good friend and knife enabler who sent me this beauty. It’s a Sunday special and I love having it in my pocket. Thanks! @conrad gutierrez

That pearl makes my head whirl!:cool::thumbsup:

Our late hound Buddy - who departed this life on 22 April - absolutely loved broccoli and asparagus ends, which surprised me, because I still have dogs mentally docketed as carnivores. Miss that old fellow.
Actually Loretta is our “grand dog”; raised with us but moved away with our daughter last October. She loves broccolI——fresh or frozen——as well as peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes……
Our little dog Gandalf has a scoop of canned pumpkin every night as an appetizer, then gets frozen broccoli, carrots, green beans, or peas nuked and mixed into his kibble. In the morning, I usually mix fresh asparagus, carrots, broccoli, or green pepper into his kibble. (He ate all his kibble this morning and refused all the baby carrots I sliced up for him this morning - I guess the carrots are not fresh enough anymore.)

Have a great week everyone :) Starting mine with two gift knives, thanks Rufus1949 Rufus1949 and @Fixall :)

I probably did step in a lot of rock droppings, but that sort of thing has never bothered me. If you think about it, dirt is made from two things - poop and dead stuff. I didn't candy coat the soil generation process when I explained it to my kid, I feel like they softballed that one to us in grade school science.
If someone had told me those "facts" as a kid,
I wouldn't have eaten the dirt that I did! 🤓

This morning, I realized that I’ve told that flea market story before, which means I am beginning to repeat myself. And in this morning’s post, I wished everybody a happy July 9th. Not realizing that my Wenger watch doesn’t adjust for months with less than 31 days, and it’s behind one day.

Maybe I should try crossword puzzles to keep my mind sharp?
Jeff, I don't think you should worry about repeating stories. I only have 4 stories, so if I stay anywhere for more than a week, they hear ALL my stories repeated! o_O

Crossword puzzles are enjoyable and probably effective for mind-sharpening, but for me, they're quite time-consuming. Have you ever tried Ken-Ken? That's fun and relatively fast. (I usually play the 6x6 version, and I'll complete 2 or 3 puzzles over the course of a day, 5-10 minutes for each.)

Fascinating photos, Jim, but sure looks like a desolate place!:cool::cool:
I've never been there, but my daughter was there last summer and brought me a cap, which coincidentally I was wearing on the day you were there.

How can a fella follow that post ^^^?! Very cool pictures, @315!

Like most days anymore, I have these about me.

I'm probably just having a memory system error, but I don't recall encountering that brand before. Google isn't helping much when I try Solar Knife or Solar Knife Company (and BF Search, which usually works quite well for me, keeps changing my keyword "solar" to "spear").

There was a time when enterprising Americans went to Japan to get knives made up, rather than China, and Solar was one of the names used, a bit like Rough Rider today, but this is long before the internet. If you compare the knives to Parker Cut Co, for example, or the scandalous Japanese-made IXL Barlows, you'll see the connection 👍

We bought fresh pumpkins one time and sliced and dehydrated them for her; she loved them! All those veggies/fruits mentioned are supposed to be good for the dogs as well as being low calorie. Loretta also loves fried crappie filets, but I’m not so sure those are so good for her.😂😂 We’re supposed to get her Friday to keep for a week while our daughter and son-in-law go on vacation, so we need to get a supply of vegetables ready.🤗
