What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's a pair that's hard to beat ! 👍
Thanks, Amigo! I think I agreed, because I almost toted them again today.

I am flying to Bradford, PA tomorrow and will have a chance to tour the Case factory. I am going to tote one of these, probably the Texas Jack.
I hope you find something to come home with ~ maybe some Redbone?
Around here, one has to travel far to find a Case display in a store. Most, like my local gas store/mini mart, only have displays of Chinese tactical knives. But when I go see my Granddaughters in Georgia, I see a lot of Case knives for sale in gas stations. I wish Case well, and hope they keep making USA made knives for a long time.
Hopefully the hooters serenade you tonight, Todd. We seldom have owls out back here in town but I spend a lot of time in the woods in fall and winter and hear them practically every evening at dusk. We do have a pair of Cooper hawks nesting in a tree two doors down and watched one chase down and catch a sparrow in our backyard a few days ago. Very acrobatic maneuvers were displayed by both the predator and prey.

Got this Klaas 4" closed stag whittler out for this evening and to carry tomorrow. Hummingbirds have been visiting the wife flowers this past week but I've been unable to capture a pic with my cellphone camera. Tiny little buggers and hard to approach. :)

Sweet! You’ve influenced my choice for today. Lowly Delrin compared to German stag, but it’s a Whittler.
Beautiful whittler Greg. All birds of prey are awesome. We have so many Barred Owls around here. I have video of one pouncing on a mouse just off our deck. Pretty cool.
😎👍
Speaking of birds of prey, I wish the Coopers hawks would help do something about the tree rats and chipmunks. Unfortunately, once in a while one of them will make a move on the birds around my feeders, which doesn’t seem fair. So to even the odds, I have my feeders close to heavy cover ~ burning bush, viburnum, and maples, so my birds all dive to safety, and the hawks rarely get one.
Jack, “Some people will tell you that slow is good-and it may be on some days-but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of tube. That’s why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba…”
HST. Ride hard die free! 😀
This is sorta like my motto when I used to shoot the cue ball ~ If you can’t hit ‘em straight, hit ‘em hard.😎
Tiny toothpick is today’s traditional carry.

While away a few days travelling I only carried a Vic Spartan and suffered mild withdrawal symptoms. I figured a victorinox would be more practical than a stockman or trapper but it wasn’t worth it.

Well, the obvious answer is carry two!
For this wooden Wednesday I’m carrying this wonderful and generous gift from @sbh06.

Jeremy it was an absolute pleasure to meet you yesterday and I enjoyed getting to know you a bit more and our conversation! Thank you so much for this beauty!! The 86 is one of my favorite frames and this sucker rod is great. It shall be carried, used, and cherished my friend.

Meeting a fellow porchster face to face is really nice!

This is my Vietnamm War era Army Navy Surplus Store Boonie Hat.37585A5C-0B45-4F8B-B35A-33063299A2AE.jpeg I waxed it with the Otter Wax I use on my English Barbour coat, so it’s waterproof. Supposed to get much needed rain today. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

While I was shooting this photo, my friendly and quite fearless Ruby Throated Hummingbird darted in to check out this Beebalm flower, but moved over to the bigger flowers on the Phlox. He’s way too quick for me to catch in a photo.

I wish you lots of rain Jeff, but put that hat away or clouds will pass over you. Funny, when I play golf and umbrella on my bag WILL bring rain.
Great combo today...oldies are dear to my heart.

Well, after Cindy's and her sister-in-law's shopping spree to Klamath Falls, Oregon, they had barely enough money left for gas to get home on. I don't know what was in the bags - didn't really want to know. All that matters is that Cindy had a good time. Thought I'd carry this Camillus #72 "Yello-Jaket" Whittler today. Nice and light for a sunny bright day.

I forgot to compliment your very fine Primble, Jim. I'm finicky about gunstocks (ok, most things) but this one looks just so, and that pocket-worn jigging 😍

In the spirit of Mr. P baiting, I fished this Redwood burl handled fixed blade out to tote today. What monstrosities might be depicted on these scales?
Make it the best Tuesday it can be, Porchsters!

Nice bait! 👍🏼👍🏼
At the very least, I’ve spotted a zombie Sasquatch … 😶

Thank you, FC — much appreciated. 🙂

And, that Redwood Burl is a critter fest, to be sure. 😉
Than you Jim, always love seeing what you're carrying too 😁 Have a great day!
Love that burl my man!
Thank you Jon, I've always thought nature was the best artist.
Thanks FC. I had been wanting a Krein for a long time and finally made it happen a little while back. It’s a TK-1XL, about 5.75 inches total. Perfect size for my pocket and the wharncliffe is a perfect blade for my use. Yes, lots of mineral supplement bags to cut open. I like your Moran. It looks like he makes a near-perfect knife. 👍
Glad you made it happen Bart, and glad you got the XL as well. I had a regular tk-1 and it was a little too little for me. Mike's knives actually *are* perfect, in terms of fit and finish, and his grind is devastatingly thin BTE so they cut for miles. Skate or die! 🤙
Nice bait! 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks Paul, undoubtedly all those eyes are evil 💀 I like that SAK, looks like a custom w/ ti scales? I was on the fence on the titanium scale upgrade until I felt the grip in hand - massive improvement over the stock ALOX.

A '74 Case and a flock member.

Together our foxhole would be generating lots of noise Jack.View attachment 2249448
They'd be able to hear us in Moscow Bob! 😴 Stunning pair my friend :)
Another foggy start to the day in the City by the Bay! With a nod to wooden Wednesday the Usual lamb and I thought I’d let the dog out 😀
