She got a new spring as well, total overhaul. Locks up like a vault now;) She shed a few ounces in the process though:)
Oh good! Well done. That one used to bounce back sometimes, when I gave it the "biker flip" to open. I have a hunch that someone did the ol' "quarter and a hammer" treatment at some point, to "facilitate" one-handed opening.

With the arrival of uncle BiF today, the family reunion is taking shape. Here we have grampa Rob, uncle BiF, cousin Harney and cousin Cap. You can sure see where the kids get their good looks. Oh no! Who invited cousin Eb? He always was the black streak of the family.

Still this one and here is a quick cell pic for Fausto. 100x cropped way in of the edge fresh off black surgical QUICK strop on linen.

Not sure if you can see the grit marks run to the apex causing microserrations. Some spots are cleaner than others. Just a quick few swipes on the stone. Trying to show how honing often (keeping it sharp) can be so much easier than waiting :) Through the microscope you can CLEARLY see the details.

As nice as that knife is, it's that pouch that's caught my eye. Custom, production, homemade? Very dignified looking pouch for a very pretty dignified looking knife.
