What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Man, that #15 in barehead smooth bone sure is a beauty.

Do I need another #15? :D

Maybe, maybe not, but this knife is waiting for its smooth white bone #15 friend:

Despite being inseparable from my #92 since it arrived, I thought it was time to give it a day off. Instead, I decided to go with the mini power duo today, a BHK Lil Muk and the #25:

Hi Corso, yes, that's how they all are. i'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me can explain why!

Smithhammer - two stunners today!

I've noticed that this can be common on many GEC knives (stag&wood in particular), short/recessed pins. I'm not very keen on it myself and have filled in the 'holes' with brass tubing, sanded down etc. WHY GEC does this more than anybody I don't know either. For instance, Queen knives I have in wood have perfectly flush with the wood pins, other makers fill the recesses or have rounded 'domed' pins, no holes. A GEC 26 I have in Primitive Bone has very nicely domed pins smooth to the touch, so they CAN do it.

Regards, Will

Now that I'm home and the dress pants are exchanged for blue jeans, the little Schrade has been replaced by the big Case (6292).

I'm guessing it's purely aesthetics then. I must admit it doesn't rankle me too much but it is odd.

Love the old case stockmans/ texas jacks/ single blades. Wish you could still get them on ebay over here. They really are knives with character.
