IMO, for technical, scientific reasons, we do not possess biologic remains or parts of spaceships from outside our solar system. Cosmic radiation, particles smaller than an atom traveling close to the speed of light throughout the universe, destroys even shielded components and DNA. Astronauts' face shields get permanently fogged from said radiation in short space jaunts. Their DNA also gets damaged. On earth we have some protection due to the magnetic field and atmosphere but even we get changes to our DNA from cosmic radiation. Some of this damage causes a mutation that provides an advantage and is retained in future generations, aka evolution. Another reason is it's simply too far. You are more likely to flap your arms and fly to the moon than other intelligent life crossing millions of light years to our planet. Any biologic entities and their craft would be destroyed during the long, long, long trip.
Agree.
We are not "alone" in the universe. However, because of the distances and time required to make the trip ... several to thousands if not millions of generations ... PRESUMING "humans" or the aliens could ever design and build a spaceship that didnt run out of electrical power in 50 earth years or less ... and that could withstand the alleged several million degrees C* encountered when leaving or entering this solar system ... and who knows how much hotter if leaving or entering the galaxy .... not to mention lasting the time of the trip with zero mantenance and/or replacement parts.

*Remember: the surface of our sun is "only" around 5,000 degrees C. Warm enough to vaporize every natural and man-made material on earth ...and the Earth, come to that) there is no way "humans" will ever encounter life from outside the solar system, either on/at their planet (AKA: "Earth 2.0") or ours.

Hence, while technically we are not "alone", for all practical purposes, we are "alone" ... which may be a "good" thing.
No reason to "think" all civiizations out there - or any particular civilization out there ... is "peaceful" ... any more than it is to "think" all civilizations or societies on Earth are "peaceful". 🙄

At best, there is a slim chance ... perhaps as great as one in however many atoms are in the universe ... squared ... then squared again three or four times ... that we will encounter their A.I. robots or androids.
Who knows if their builders ... heck ... their builder's world ... still exist after the perhaps billions of years it took for their ship to arrive in this solar system.

I’ve got the @sunknife German hawksbill for anything plant related that comes up, and the BF Buck with the 1975 Case Moose. I would think this big frame Case would be great as a Jack…View attachment 2268283
That book came from Grandma. She had a subscription to the original Organic Gardening and Farming magazine, and ordered some books from their book club.
This book has become a bit of a classic, and a lot of people follow her methods. Or try to. It relies on unlimited supplies of hay to use as mulch, but in 2023, it is very difficult to find hay that is free of herbicides.😠
I planted sunflowers at the end of some rows where they would not shade my plants. They’re taller than me, and just forming flower heads.View attachment 2268278View attachment 2268279View attachment 2268280

Edit: just spoke to Old Engineer Old Engineer . We both got about 1 1/2” of welcome rain last night, but he had a big hickory limb fall and block his cars in the garage.
His arborist arrived and ended our call. Hope there’s no damage to his garage.
No damage at all Jeff . It ended up that we will have the complete tree taken down . We were very lucky as to how it twisted and came down . He did what the had to do to get us going and was called out to some one else who needed him worse than we did at the time . I have some pretty good Hickory chunks if you need some .
Take care my friend .

Sorry for the poor quality pic, apparently there was oil on my lens. This Sodbuster Jr. helped cutting zipties I'd used to hold the wiring harness outta the way doing this today. 20230729_102257.jpg
My Burbs engine spun a cam bearing, but I have a donor truck. I've got the donor engine in and tomorrow I'll finish hooking everything up I hope.

This was a day that did not start out very well , but we needed the rain that came with the storm .

The car is one of my Son-in law's , which was not touched . What you can't see is Bay 1 & 2 of the garage behind the limb . Never lost a shingle or either of the garage lights . The removal of the limb showed that the tree was rotten at the junction with the body of the tree . Other than the cost , we got lucky .

Well .... I don't really want to believe in E.T. ............ as I read the news pages everyday, I really have no idea what to believe. Too many agendas in the news and weather these days.🤔😊
Well if ET brought the weather with her/him then we just might have a problem Houston! Time to release the hounds at Space Force! 👩‍🚀😛
