Mine lacks the "OT" and is supposedly an "early" 858 ... not that the 858 Lumberjack was produced very long to begin with... only six years from 1978 to 1984. One of Schrade's shorter runs.
Personally, I don't understand why it wasn't more popular. Not "too big" (or "too heavy") for loose in the pocket carry. For the last two or three years they even had a version that shipped with a belt sheath. ("858OTS" in the catalog pages I've seen online. I am not sure if the "OTS" was used on the tang stamp.)

Believe I will switch to mine.😁👍

Mine has the stamp as yours. When I saw yours posted awhile ago, I decided to dig mine out!

Bike MOT test,it passed.

Had the oil and filter changed as well.

Then 10 mile ride to a biker cafe for breakfast/dinner.

Afternoon Hospital again,there’s a surprise.

Lovely lady doctor has put me down for an urgent carpal tunnel injection.

I am still in the running (just). 🤔 😁

Old faithful in my pocket love this old Wenger.
