What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Awesome photos. Looks like you and your grandson are having a lot of fun

Great photos Jeff. Those were amazing machines.

Great stuff, Jeff! Had to be a fascinating visit. 👍🏻
Thanks, guys. Yes, real nice having Remy here. I just dropped him off at his other Grandparents to spend three days with them. Have to share!

If any of you are in easy driving distance of Union Illinois, I highly recommend a visit to the Railway Museum. Abosolutely fascinating.

Hello Porch! Look what the cat drug in 👋 Had a go through the wringer the last few weeks, no hope of catching up on this thread. Knives were carried, and here they are. Still not quite Rufus1949 Rufus1949 's midnight wall of knives, but I'm coming for your title Bob.
Long story short, there was car trouble. Modded my Mora of many years, always hated that knife. Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund was kind enough to send me this wonderful tank of a US made Camillus TL-29 with brass liners and pins, which actually had been on my fairly short (ahem) list of knives to acquire. Gonna use it hard and likely try a scale replacement this winter. Thank you very much Jeff, we are going to have some fun together!

Today, I have my 71 Bullnose, and a nice older Camillus Linesman. This one is one of the civilian market versions, a TL-27.

Nice, very dark cocobolo on this old girl.AFFDD82B-E73D-4B35-9274-AA8973B92F93.jpeg
This one is marked 27 on the pile side tang, but not all were marked. Here’s another one that is, out of my box of potential ones to mod. It has the “other color” scales, which I’ve never seen on a .mil 29.0F11B1CF-F8A5-48D8-85BF-7A0125B11C6D.jpeg
When they’re not marked 27 or 29, I have learned how to tell the difference. They used slightly thinner blade and spring stock. You can see that difference here ~EDED9A7F-4C74-4DB9-B97D-7739246F7534.jpeg
Have a stupendous day. Me? Gotta pick and can pole beans.

Nice to see ya, Fred! Sorry about the car trouble! I hope it doesn’t co$t too much…

I’m glad to see you’re putting that TL-29 to use, my friend.

Busy day! Breaking out my amateur woodworking skills to repair my bed that decided to give out this past weekend (who knew particle board wasn't the best materials to use when building a bed?). Anyway here's today's carry. Been loving this 72. Have a great day everyone!

That sucks Jack, very sorry to hear that.

Sad to read someone stole a special knife.

I have a distinct dislike for thieves, and criminal types in general.

Now that's a knife! :)

Thank you very kindly, Jack!!! :)

Sorry to hear that Jack! 😲
You certainly have quite the sweet slicer, with a fistfull of sweet backups!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks a lot guys
Today's companion. :)

Got the Morris with me today.
Handsome Morris  I'm hoping he's going to be coming over to the UK again this year, so I can pick one up :)
Nice Sleeveboard Bob :)
Conductor is sufficient for today, especially when paired with the Kroo lamb. Almost Friday…

Couple of smashers Steve

Schrade+ 858 today. I’ve never carried a stockman much, but in the last few years they have really started to appeal to me especially the American utility grades from the 70s and 80s.

Beautiful.
Does your tang stamp have "858 OT" or just "858"?
Mine lacks the "OT" and is supposedly an "early" 858 ... not that the 858 Lumberjack was produced very long to begin with... only six years from 1978 to 1984. One of Schrade's shorter runs.
Personally, I don't understand why it wasn't more popular. Not "too big" (or "too heavy") for loose in the pocket carry. For the last two or three years they even had a version that shipped with a belt sheath. ("858OTS" in the catalog pages I've seen online. I am not sure if the "OTS" was used on the tang stamp.)

Believe I will switch to mine.😁👍
