What a marvelous way to start both your day and your weekend; quite a fabulous image, too!
As it is mine, also! Thank you very much, Bob!!!My favorite "family" JJ. Two very nice pens.
Your Whiskey Eye had the artistic "Dutch Angle" of these two beauties; an awesome pairing Bob!I used my whiskey eye to take this pic! Hence the tilt.![]()
Belated birthday greetings to Eleanor! I always enjoy the photos on your girls' birthdays, with their birthday activities and the knife retrospectives. That's quite the climbing set-up you took the girls to; I might even be able to successfully climb some of the routes there. I was especially impressed with the Mount Rushmore wall and how recognizable the presidents' heads were, all via clever shape/placement of the handholds and footholds.
Barrett, I remember your post about Eleanor enjoying videos posted by Michael Chabon early during the pandemic. I'm currently rereading Chabon's Summerland (which I first read almost 20 years ago, and I remember nothing about it!). I didn't remember that it was essentially a kids' book. Has Eleanor ever tried that book? Probably above her current reading level, but she might enjoy having it read to her by you or an audiobook reader.

Terrific Teutons for Stag Saturday my friend
Iām with you, Greg ā love the vibe of those particular S&M Heritage knives.![]()
Thanks, guys.I had one of the ebony Heritage S&M knives. Shame they stopped making them, they were as close to an original as Iāve seen. Thereās an identical one shown in their 1903 catalog.
Thanks, guys.I also wish they had put out more replicas from the old catalog, JB. I got a set of 7of these in three different patterns from a dealer around 2015 I believe, which was a few years after they were released. The set came with a reprint of the 1903 catalog showing many other classic pattern knives in its pages. I've seen a couple other different patterns than the ones I have that Schatt & Morgan replicated from that catalog posted here by other forum members.
I've posted this pic in a couple of other threads here before. Id take a new pic of the set but my phone camera is screwed up the past two weeks and is only working on a rare occasion and today its not cooperating.

Iām not sure I can wait for you to deliver that coffee mug. We may have to work a trade, and let the mailman do itā¦Sounds like a plan JeffAmir Fleschwund . If that ever happens, I'll bring a couple Wagon Wheel Cafe cups with me.

I am not buying many knives lately, but you guys are killing me with this latest Waynorth! My first job was working at a tree nursery, so I am pretty comfortable fixing pvc irrigation systems, but I donāt enjoy it. Got started early while it was still cool and luckily it looks like the leak is fixed. Iāll leave it exposed until tomorrow to make sure.
I am fortunate that my water company will reverse any water overage due to a leak (once per year) as long as it is fixed within 3 business days after being notified, so hopefully I wonāt be charged for the excess water since I wasnāt notified until yesterday.
This HJ is awesome. My preferred main blade, and I am finding more and more uses for the punch. So far today it has de burred some pvc cuts, and assisted in the āshotgunā of a cold beer after the plumbing was fixed. Back on track for a good Saturday afternoon.

Classy Buck, and I love your name.
Man alive, you really scored big!Stumbled across a display case of knives at an antique power equipment show (tractors, hit and miss engines, etc.) that has an associated flea market. Scored a Hen & Rooster 314DS Trapper in nice stag, a Remington R12 Trapper, a Case Electrician (1965-69), and a Western 742 Stockman. All require some cleaning and work. The Hen & Rooster will probably get the most pocket time. View attachment 2292708
Happy Anniversary, my fellow Illinoian!Carried this one today to take my wife out for Mexican food to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. My old 703 I received in 94 for my birthday from parents. I just felt it fit since also got married in 94.View attachment 2292770
