What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Not really totin' anything today. Even my watch just sat on the end table. Lazy one today. It was nice actually. Like a little mini vacation. Read a bit. A little TV. Nice big family pasta dinner.

This tonneau was also sitting on the end table. It showed up with a mediocre but useable edge. Today I took the time to redo the angle and get that crazy sharp edge. Now it's how I like it!

It actually took quite a bit of work on the Arkansas stone to thin out the edge angle. Must be some pretty hard steel.

Went up into the mountains today to check out an area where a forest fire went through two years ago. I anticipated there would be a lot more devastation, but the drainage we went to is an area that we have elk hunted in the past and it wasn’t too bad. Did manage to see some quail, grouse and deer. The smoke from Canadian fires made it difficult to see the other side of the valley and when we drove home Mt. Rainier wasn’t even visible from inside the park.

Attractive pair Paul :)
Overcast and muggy here today. I carried an Imperial electrician’s knife that I re-covered in green Micarta.

Great day. The finish on these could be regarded as a bit crude but the opening closing is excellent, no play and like you say hard steel that takes a very good edge, a nice rustic feel 'chopper' Fond of mine and it is good in the hand which is a must for any credible knife.

Thanks, Will

Being in the middle of Tropical Storm Hilary, it's too hot and muggy to wear long pants today. Switched to shorts and from a Buck 301 to a Buck 303

A brilliant knife, versatile & dependable . Such an outrage they stopped making the Yellow ones, or have they relented? This knife has now become my on board 'car knife' having ousted the CASE 18 stainless in Amber Bone some weeks ago. Will have to endure darkness in the centre console, massive temp fluctuations (could hit -25C and last weeks it was +30C here, but inside the car... OMG  ) It can take it in its stride and be a useful travelling companion.
