Great easy opener you have there Jer.

Great day. The finish on these could be regarded as a bit crude but the opening closing is excellent, no play and like you say hard steel that takes a very good edge, a nice rustic feel 'chopper' Fond of mine and it is good in the hand which is a must for any credible knife.

Thanks, Will

I agree with your opinions, despite the signs of age, I love this knife.

Hot one today in the Ozarks, you folks have a nice Sunday🤘View attachment 2293306
I wanted to ask you where you do your fishing. When we lived on Lake Of The Ozarks, I naturally did a lot of lake fishing. I had a productive crappie bed off the dock, ran trot lines for catfish, did a lot of largemouth casting, and chased schools of white bass. But my favorite place to go was on the Big Niangua down between the lake and Lebanon. A family friend had riverfront property near Eldridge, and the smallmouth bass fishing there was great.
I still get a kick out of carrying the really old ones.

But knowing you, you’ll find uses for that secondary. I love the main and old bone.🤙

Old and new🤙
Gotta love that HB tang stamp!

We got maybe a 1/2" inch of rain out of the hurricane that hit California yesterday and last night. It's slipped my mind who but one of our BF members lives in Ojai, Ca where they had a 5.0 earthquake with several after quakes. I've started carrying a modern knife daily so I'll be carrying that today along with this Ebony 055 Buck. Sausage and eggs for breakfast at the Wagon Wheel after we take Cindy to the doctor for yet another doctor visit.

Ulster "official" BSA is still on the watch chain. (as is the 1885 born Elgin.)
Pen is c.1955 Parker Super 21.
Radio is reproduction of a 1930's/ 1940's AM/FM/SW table top.
(Those of you who are complaining about shortages of tubes for your guitar amps, turn tables, reel to reel player-recorders ... don't blame me! Radio has transistors - no tubes.😇)
Of course the original did not have transistors, or bluetooth, USB, or SD memory card compatability, either. 🙄

Blue tooth is great. Can use it to listen to Classical Music (not on the air around here anymore. Those stations have 🤢"Country Western" or 🤮"RAP"/"R&B" now. ☹️) and the old Fred Allen, Jack Benny, and other radio comedies, plus the Westerns (Hopalong, Roy, etc) and dramas like 'THE SHADOW' on you tube. Somehow they just seem more fitting and enjoyable from a period radio, than a "smart"phone or tablet. 😁👍

Have a great week, please.

Attractive pair Paul :)

I had to chase down a failed preamp tube in my Pro Reverb. The knife was of no use.

😂

Good working pair !
