Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund is right. Delrin for the working knife. I don't feel bad setting this down on the concrete, or in the engine bay. Thanks again for the TL Jeff, it's found a home in my most-used toolbox, the "nationalist" box with exclusively American tools ;)

Many thanks to Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 for heeding my desperate call for a '16 BF HJ. It is every bit as useful a tool as I imagined (had a couple years to anticipate here), went right into service. It is a much better scribe than the one bought for that purpose, probably because of the higher HRC and *wicked* edge on that punch. We really hit it off, carried this three days in a row, unusual for me.

This is what I've been busy with, had about 10 of these repairs to do in some mahogany tables I'm finishing up for a friend's coffeeshop. Also, had no idea how to do a bowtie repair, so had to teach myself. The first attempt was pretty fugly, and will not be shown on the interwebs. Here is #6 and 7.

Westinghouse natty micarta. Had to try it. Works better than the wood ones, methinks. Knife makers aren't kidding when they say to cut/sand micarta outside - this stuff stunk up my parent's entire house something awful when I went over to use Dad's Jet bandsaw.

On a side note, if any Porchsters are ever cruising through KC, top-notch coffee/espresso is on me (working for credit at that coffeeshop)!
Thus concludes my Monday wall of knives. Let's make it a good week, eh?

Great display of knives and craftsmanship FC.👍🏻

Lets start with the positive, bolster engraving and bone dye makes this a nice looking barlow. Cap lifter works.

The negative, blade action is still a little crunchy after oil and flush, the BO (bottle opener) rubs the liner and has to be pushed down so that the nail nick on the main blade is accessible.

This was an auction buy so I may have been a bit unlucky in that I bought some ones unwanted one, but if anyone here has the same knife I wonder if the issues are the same?

Not going to bash B&S I have at least 3 one arm razors on the same frame and they all have some quirks so I knew what I was getting into when I hit the buy button.

This one wont be getting much pocket time after today and I think I've only carried it twice before.

& some of the gardening yesterday. Set up my possum defense, bells rattle if you move the plants, we shall see if it works. The birds don't seem to keen on the swaying bells.

Possum says “what bells?”
You need a dog like Manny. The other day, he was frantically rooting around a brush pile in my woods. Little bit later, he’s trotting around with a “dead” possum. He left it laying out in the grass, and then discovered that the “dead” possum had sought refuge under the deck. Well, he rooted him out, and again left him out in the yard. Of course, as soon as he left, that “dead” possum escaped over the back fence. Learned it’s lesson? We’ll see. 😄

A lot to like in this big post, Frederick!
First, I am so glad you like the Camillus TL-29, and have found it useful! I am the same when it comes to tools. I have had too many import hand tools break or bend ~ no more. If I need another tool, I buy second hand Made In USA. (Or England)

Great knives, as usual. I really like that first Jack with the big spear!
And thanks for supporting the practical wonders of Dupont’s Delrin®️!

Back to the wonderful Schrade 804 Whittler, and my Scrimshaw on which I replaced the blade I broke. The blade is stamped New York Knife Co, and I got it from one of the auction site sellers who has a bunch of parts from the big Schrade End Of Days sell-off.
Back to working on the guitar I’m building for my son, Josh.

There’s no day of the week starting with D, well, there is in Spanish, but that was yesterday. And I can’t wait for Delrin December, so today is gonna be Delrin Monday! 😲
We saw something amazing yesterday. Driving by corn and bean fields, we saw millions of big dragonflies madly swooping and diving. It was like a locust plague, but these were obviously preying on something. I took a video, but can’t figure out how to post it.
