Ok. I would not talk about personal problems in just any random social setting, but I feel comfortable with you porch friends. If this irresistable compulsion to carry a bunch of knives is a problem, I suppose you all probably understand. It’s not as if it’s negatively affecting me yet. I don’t have a knife hanging around my neck likeafishhunter , or have seven pounds of knives in a fanny pack like @5KQs!
Sure, my pants fall down fast when I unbuckle my belt, but I rarely do that in public…
Two in each front pocket, one in the little pocket, and one on the belt, plus my Leatherman and cell phone sheath ~ please tell me I’m normal. View attachment 2327937View attachment 2327938
My name is Jeff, and I’m a Knifeaholic.
Have a good day.
It's worrisome, because I do understand Jeff.WET WOODEN WENGER WEDNESDAY

Fantastic knife-on-post shot of your barehead sleeveboard pen knife with the fiery tortoiseshell covers!I could never understand this knife, the tang is stamped "Foreign" , so wherever you are, its not made "here" it almost does not exist and was never made. I like it because the handle has a Fire inside it.

Southerner
Nah you need to come further to be a southerner![]()
Never thought about who applies "Yankee" to whom; very interesting!Haha!
My family is from Pennsylvania, and Texans call anything to the north and east "yankee".
It's funny that Yankee really means Connecticut, but the farther you are from there, the bigger the region is, until all Americans were called "yanks". That probably didn't sit well with boys from Dixie.![]()
I'm no meteorologist or astronomer, but something seems very fishy about the shadows' positioning (and shape of the shadow of the handle) in that pic!...
Knife content: my new Corliss making bunny ears this morning.

Great knives, Vince!
Congrats on the striking stag Remington, Bob, and kudos to Paul for his generosity!A friend of ours gifted this to me and should not have........yes you Paul@jakeywax31!!!View attachment 2323947
Very informative post and photos!I woke up today with no plans but within about 10 minutes I decided to drive down to Mount St Helens. I first saw it 31 years ago and was completely blown away(no pun intended) by the utter devastation and the amazing landscape. It was like drawing a line where the lush green forest stopped and lunar landscape began. I try to get down there a couple times a year but don’t think I made it last year.
I had a couple errands to do while leaving town, hitting NAPA for some 2 amp fuses and the post office. At the post office I ran into an old timer that had recently moved here from the East coast. He had never seen Mount St Helens so I offered to take him along, to which he happily went. Weather was almost perfect today with just a little haze from some small fires. Some good scenery was coming up once we broke out of the timber.
...
We didn’t have to go much father when you finally see the mountain. The old timer was speechless. I eventually got him to pose with my SAK…View attachment 2324336
I figured the Old timer would like a picture next to the Miner’s car, so one more stop on the way out.

Very fitting pair of folders to post to commemorate Charlie's birthday, Jack!
Rachel, that tang stamp collage is superb!Oh really? I'll have to look for that.
Thanks, Jack. I have at least a handful of Barehead Jacks in ebony, but I couldn't resist picking this one up. I want to look through my old ones and see how many were import brands owned by A. Kastor.
That might make for an interesting thread.
I wonder if I could collect the whole set.

I've enjoyed the toothpicks you posted recently, Jim!
Handsome stockman with a more orange color on the bonestag than I'm used to seeing!I’m hoping for a better game from the Bears today!

Splendid pair, Steve!
I'll bet it was Folger's Instant! The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup!Not anyone in a coffee house knows what good coffee is. Some of the best coffee I have had came from a small cafe in Minnesota. Not sure what the blend was but it was awesome
Beautiful Case Gary.![]()
Thanks, Todd. Thanks Gary. Yes, we’ve been enjoying a nice stretch of cool mornings. Great way to start the day.![]()
Inspired pairing, Jack! To show that you mean business, you can "put the Hammer down" AND/OR "lower the Waboom"....
Have a great start to the week folksStarting mine with another Lamb/Barlow pairing, my K'roo Waboom Lambsfoot, which was gifted to me by Steady Hand Bob
Rufus1949 , and a vintage Hammer Brand, I received from @JJ Cahill

Basic and breathtaking!
Despite the unusual blade combo, that's obviously a cattle knife, Bart!Beer and sausage.

Glad you tamed the beast! So pleased I decided to work on my opening technique after watching some videos.
Its more of a curl of the thumb so pushing almost straight and less chance of snapping a nail.
I have also cleaned and oiled several times, then last night after cleaning under the tap I oiled it and put it on the radiator so the heat would make the oil run easier.
It made it even better.
Now I can open both blades with ease (better than with a pick) even without looking.
Its now a pleasure to open and close.
What a terrific knife this is.

What a pair, Bob; that gunstock is high caliber!Adding a gunstock ( McNative according to Kroo) to the pocket with Mr.Albers.View attachment 2326827
