What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Be interested to know what the doc says. I've had a hernia just above my belly button for 4-5 years now. My pcp said as long as it doesn't hurt and I can "push it back in" not to worry about and she didn't recommend surgery because sometimes the surgery "causes more problems than it solves". She did say if I couldn't push it back it in we'd probably have to do something.
Good luck 🤞
Mike, that describes mine too! But I know my doc will want me to come in. I’m due for a “Wellness” checkup anyway. 🤷

Thanks Jack !

You as well buddy and nice picture !

I’ll use Steve’s hawk to cut tonight’s salad stuff. Either of the others would do, but there’s nothing like a hawkbill in the garden. And this one is slim and light.View attachment 2333902
Waxed coat and hat for a rainy day.
Three solid workers there Jeff :)

It’s going to be a beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! I’m coming to the realization that aging is not for the faint of heart. Over the last week I noticed that my bellybutton which has always been an inny was becoming an outy. So I took a pic of it and called my brother who’s a ER doc and he took one look and said I have a hernia. I’m not in any pain and he said it might just go away but I should contact my primary care physician. So…it looks like I’ll be scheduling an appointment soon. In the meantime keeping me company today is the usual lamb and Stingray. Have a great week folks! 😀

Sorry to hear about that sf fanatic sf fanatic - sounds like an umbilical hernia. I had one that an orthopedic surgeon insisted I address before he would agree to perform surgery on a torn meniscus in my left knee - I thought the requirement was a bit strange at the time but I'm glad I went through with it.

The doctor I saw was able to diagnose it within literally 2 seconds of me raising my shirt. Procedure was outpatient, with barely any recovery time as I recall, and at the end of it, I was the proud recipient of a piece of kevlar fabric on the backside of my abdominal muscles (of which there isn't much to speak of - settle down, ladies... 🤣).

Interesting term you use for drivers of vehicles with at least 4 wheels, Mike. 🤓
Since COVID arrived, I've been walking much more (and driving much less) than I used to, and I've taken to calling many of the drivers on the roads "vehicle supremacists", who I find as despicable as white or black supremacists in their treatment of people not "like" them (i.e., pedestrians, cyclists) as sub-human and not deserving of any rights.
This is 100% true Gary, an astute observation. Since almost everybody in America has a personal motor vehicle, we view it as a right and a necessity. Case in point, far and away the best way to murder someone in America is to hit them with your car and say it was an accident (look at the history of prosecution and sentencing for this). You will do less than 90 days in jail, maybe none, and you WILL get your driver's license back at some point, likely soon. I lost two friends on motor scooters to hit and runs this year, so pardon me if I rant 🤬 The sad tendency is to view pedestrians, cyclists, and increasingly other drivers, as *obstacles* and not living beings. Like we're all playing Pole Position with unlimited tokens.
Thanks, guys. I think of myself as a hoarder, rather than a collector, but it does look like a collection when you put them all together.
This is hilarious and true! If you keep all your knives in one place, they look like a collection. Collections have value, wives notice things of value. I keep my knives all spread out. I'm merely a hoarder of used cutting implements, nothing to see here, move on folks ;)

I’ve had one since 2012. I had surgery scheduled, but the surgeon was married to the “Tampa socialite” Jill Kelly at the center of the General Parteus scandal lol. When I learned that I decided to push it off and just never rescheduled it. Figured he may have been a bit distracted while he was cutting around down there.

Only bothers me when I swing the driver too hard or my wife asks me to do something in the yard ;)
