What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This one any better???
There's no comparison. Apples to oranges. Buttery smooth action, blade dead center, snap on the open. If we're getting picky, the pull is a little light (IMO) at maybe a weak 4ish and there's no snap on the close. Trying to research if there's a way to tighten things up a bit. Otherwise, flawless.👍🏻

I'm actually glad I got the "dud" first. Think I gained more appreciation for this one. She's pretty! 😍

About the hardest and most time consuming stuff to go through…
Best thing you can do is write names and dates on the back for family history.
A lot of the ones I'm shipping off are old ones that I don't know who the subjects are, and nobody annotated them. I sure wish I had gone through some of these when my parents were alive. I realized that I have nobody to leave them too and they'll possibly get thrown out when I die, so they need to go somewhere else. Hopefully some of my relatives will be able to identify a few of them and pass them on to their kids. I've only mentioned it to a couple of them. The others are just going to get a box...tag- you're it :D

After a week spent at a conference in Colorado Springs, it’s so good to be home with family.

It was good to be back out in the wide open west.…but my eyes are tuned to the deep greens and tall trees of South Carolina. Being around home is not nearly as expansive, but it is comfortable to my soul.

And I get to carry knives. Ahhhhh.

Yeah, it’s 81f, and clear, but my sugar maple is giving warning.396BA27F-342B-480B-BC21-2CB237741554.jpeg
Another early morning rehearsal, and service done. Our other two rythmn guitarists were out of town, so just my guitar, a fiddle, the piano, drums, bass playing pastor, and my daughter with her tambourine, a big smile, and her cowgirl hat.
Two of what I consider among my best ~ Schrade 233 Jack, and my only Little Valley folder, a Cattaraugus 21087 Linesman.8EB8BB9C-3A2A-422D-BF7F-D430AAD60CDA.jpeg4897B27F-8E76-4D33-8D46-7E10E93515F3.jpeg
Have a blessed day!

My neice and her family live in the Springs. There are a lot of big churches there, including national (international) headquarters. I’ll have to ask her which one they attend.

I can relate. Every time we visit Colorado, I love it, but there’s nothing like home!
Vik wants to move there after she retires to be close to our son and his family.
Very expensive, though…I tell her I need room for a garden, and a church to play guitar for.

Those Richards knives did like to rust! :D Good luck Barney

Great to see that spectacular display of sheer Schradeness JJ, I always enjoy seeing those two

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I'm over the worst of my Covid, I hope, but had to cancel my trip to the UK Sharp Show next weekend :( Carrying my Albers Lambsfoot, a knife I'll always treasure :)

Glad to hear that the Covid seems to be beating a retreat, Jack. That Albers Lamb is always stunning! 👍🏻
