What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Jeff, you're very kind my friend :) :D I haven't been to that show before, so I was just looking forward to looking around, and to meeting a few of our posters, and probably bumping into some old friends :) I suspect there will be a lot of knives there of limited interest to me, but I would definitely have had an eye out for any old Lambsfoot knives, while there's a few left :D I was also interested to see Michael Morris had a stand again, and probably would have had something off him. I guess he must have done OK last year, to make the long trip worthwhile :) That, or he likes the weather here! 🤣 ;) Hopefully, I can go next year :) I guess missing it has saved me some money  ;)

Carrying my Charlie Lamb today, and Lady Luck gifted me another of Mr C's marvels for Random Tuesday :) I'm pleased with how they look together

It’s fitting that you mention “meetng a few of our posters” right after looking around. At the Badger Blade Show, meeting up with other Porchmeisters is the main thing. The knives are just an excuse to make the drive.

Being quite fond of all configurations of what Schrade called Serpentine Jack,
Charlie’s Diamond Jack is the one that I like to see the most. 🤙

The LF and HJ are kinda snazzy too😉

Was missing my dad a bit, so I got out his old knives and gave them an oiling. The Imperial used to be a tackle box knife and lived in his tackle box till I found it with melted scales(hence why they are missing).

The fixed blade is an old Estwing he found at a lake in central Kansas just sitting in a toolbox that floated down his way. So he brought the knife in and rescued it and handed it down. The stacked leather handle and guard are a little loose though.

Side question, would anyone be able to point me to people who could rehandle/refurbish either of those knives?.

The pen is fairly new, but is developing a nice patina if I don't say so myself.

I'd soak the FB in neet's foot oil to try to plump it up, perhaps after a scrub with detergent.

I needed a couple of 10mm bolts to hold down my machine vice so was rooting about in an old toolbox I bought as part of shed clearance when I bought another lathe. Lo and behold but what do I find, another rusty old piece of junk masquerading as a knife. I had to google this as I had never heard of them. "Jowika" it looks a lot like a "Richards" if the steel is as good it deserves some TLC.
