What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Micarta and metal Monday

What is that Saturday and Sunday folding multi-tool?
It's a creation of my twisted mind and the patience and talents of Spikediesel Spikediesel : a linerless Ti Tinker with scissors swapped in for the blades, a file on the phillips and a 1/4" hex driver insert cut into one side. It's a complete tank with unbelievable action, I feel really lucky he pulled this off for me. Pack up a bit strip to slip in your watch pocket beside it and you're good to go.

I really like that Schrade :thumbsup::thumbsup: I've been chicken eyeing his knives for a while. 🐔

Boker has been on a roll that last few years 👍
Chicken eyeing? That's a new 1 to me.
My Proper came in handy at a Chinese buffett this afternoon. Why won't they give you a knife with your utensils????

😂
Friday night went out for chinese for my daughters birthday.
Same problem, my Mum asked for my wenger junior to cut her brocoli

Pickled walnuts are one of the finest delicacies money can buy,
Do not leave any for the squirrels, 20 walnut trees is enough to start a business!
I had to read that twice, because I thought "spell check" changed picked to pickled.:) So I looked it up, and it appears to be a mostly English thing. My wife likes old English literature & when I asked her about it, she said she remembers reading about pickled walnuts, but thought it was just an English nickname for something else.

All the recipes I've found say that you need to pick green walnuts, before the hard, inside shell is formed. So these are way too ripe, but we may just have to experiment with them next year. Thanks for the idea.

It’s a traditional Chinese belief still practiced today:

“Confucius believed that knives were symbolic of aggression and murder, something that went against the nonviolent way of life”.

Carried these 2 to coffee and lunch and then outside yard work .
