What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hahzabaht another big ol' sheepsfoot work knife. I couldn't pass up a cool workhorse like this and made in Australia, too! I'm not sure I've seen anything from there except Mitch's awesome new sheepsfoot.

This thing is a tank. 4.25" closed, 3" blade. 440 stainless. There's a new bald spot on my arm so it definitely took a nice edge! The wood covers were probably really nice looking when new, but they have become pretty dark. I quickly hit them with 400 and put a bit of thinned spar varnish on it just to seal them up.

Should be a fun one to throw into the pile of work knives.

A well designed Case Bart.( with "starter fluid" ?
Thanks Bob. I’ve never heard coffee described that way, but it’s accurate 😁
Beauty Bart, good to see you around. 😎👍
Thanks Todd. Good seeing you around more as well.
At work early today, lots of “end of the quarter” grading to do. You’d think by now I’d be smart enough to know better than to make an assignment at the end of the quarter. 😄View attachment 2361782
Nice looking coffin jack, Todd. These Case/Bose knives really are great.
Hope all are well and heading into a restful weekend.View attachment 2361816
Wonderful pair of customs Bob. I especially like the red liners.
Also looking classy with the red liners, and a great gesture from Bob. 👍

Good afternoon all,

Dog walk this morning looking for Penny Buns again, no luck but a few indistinct Fly Agaric, did not find any spectacular clusters as I usually do. A little bit old and tired. Like me. This Richards knife has a streetlight logo.
I really love the rivet method on the pins, solid.

What a fine coat your Richard's wears Wayne.👌
I'm not a mushroom hunter, is there a season for such endeavors?

Thank you for your kind words Bob,
The mushrooms usually appear at the start of Autumn over here, when the leaves turn. Penny Buns are usually found in ancient woodlands, but a couple of years ago I found a bunch in a small stand of oak trees. There are mushrooms all year round but usually dead tree types. The weather has been all over the place this year and I don't know who has been the most confused, me or the plants. :)
