Very nice Brian

My ignorance is showing, but what is the fixed blade? I love it.
That's a City Knife made by Eldon Talley a Utah knifemaker. It's patterned after a Bob Loveless design, I believe. No reason you should know that. I should have posted the details.

Thank you. I was hoping it was a production so that I could go buy one! I'm loving your setup

+1 but I did know the pattern. Very nicely done. The bolster is gorgeous.

Eldon is a heck of a knife maker and a good friend. I believe he is taking orders. I'll ask him the next time I see him. He specializes in Loveless style knives and learned to make knives from Steve Johnson. Although I think lately he has been wanting to get into balisongs.

That looks great HFinn!

That is a really cool looking knife! Is it Sardinian?

Its from Fox knives, Maniago, Italy....although the stamp would suggest the location is otherwise
Hopefully I'll be recieveing its smaller sibling today....in equally as tasty blonde horn.

I decided on a bit of buffalo this morning though, to make sure I got my horn fix:

Like I wrote, don't expect a friction folder, it is a slip joint. Also the gap between the spring and handle might put some off, but your specimen might not have that. I e-mailed the dealer and they will get me Fox Nuragus 560-20 that looks like this:

That one should be a friction folder. I am going on holiday and will receive the knife in august. Meanwhile I will be happily canoeing in northeast Finland, listening to classical music and cutting sausages and pork chops with my nuragus.

Thank you for the info sir. Yes, I knew this was a slippy not a FF, but I'm more than happy with that. And thankyou for the extra info on the model you have asked them to source. What are the dimensions (bklade lenght especially) of this true pattada?

By the way, I am pretty much envious about everything you have just posted!
Hope the fish are biting and not the flies, have a safe journey my friend

I really dont know anything other than the total lenght cm 20 - 7.8 inches. That might put the blade lenght around 9 cm/3,5 inches. And thanks, there will be horseflies and mosquitoes but that comes with the territory. If we are really, really lucky we might see moose, deer and other large animals too. There are also bears in the area we are visiting.

It's a hard life! :D Have a great time

These two for me today
