And here's my Chinese Sabre lockback with a Japanese Sabre big Barlow.
The handle material on the Chinese is a mystery, and I think the bolsters are faux.
Is that sawcut bone on your Sabre big Barlow? It looks much nicer than the "sawcut plastic" on my Sabre Japan Daddy Barlow:

FWIW, here's a photo of my Sabre Ireland slim trapper:

Nice stag on that RR Gary and the SAK is “Yooper” duper!

Thanks, Todd; just couldn't pass up that souvenir SAK.
Keeping things simple for Monday.
Simple, but superlative! Secondary is shaped superbly!

Those Land Shark Old Timers eat meat for breakfast!

“On the other hand, when my wife was getting prepped for her recent right knee replacement,”
How’s the knee?
Yes, I usually think that no matter what I’m totin.
My wife's knee is doing quite well, Jeff; thanks for asking.

She flew to MN to visit our daughter last Friday and returned Tuesday. When she arrived at the Twin Cities airport on Friday, she had a wheelchair assistant because she was worried about the size of the terminal, but when she came home on Tuesday, she decided she could walk the terminal on her own. Yesterday was the first time she tried driving since September 24, and it seemed to go OK.
I think having a high opinion of all your knives is a blessing!

When I opened my drawer of cigar boxes this morning,
I heard the raspy voice of @Jack Black whispering in my ear “Pick that Lambsfoot, Mate”.So Taylor’s Eye Witness it is.

You don't recall my voice chanting angelically, "Walnut Witness for the win!"??
Your Bucs did much better than my Hawks.

Since the Seahawks and the Ravens were both flocks of birds that had beaten my rejuvenated Lions, I was surprised that the Seattle-Baltimore showdown wasn't a closer game.

Busy as Billy-O these past few days!

Found time to slip my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket
Good to see the stag HHB, Jack!

Who was Billy-O and what kept him so busy??
Very handsome cinnamon stag bone on that RR!!

I have my Benini lambsfoot in pocket as I type this.

This knife has been sneaking into my pocket a lot. It is the perfect size for a pocket carry.
Everybody needs a 50T in their life.
I can't argue with you gents! I've had a Chinese 5OT since March, and it's an excellent lockback!

A really good pocket knife.

Thanks, John.

That Sodbuster Jr opened my eyes to the usefulness of a single-blade folder. I had no interest in one-bladed knives until I won that SBJr in a GAW here.
Well, I got 2 new ones in the mail yesterday. I am very pleased with them both. The Old Timer actually surprised me- it appears that I got a good one! Now, they just need to get some use and wear marks! This is actually my first Sodbuster Jr.
I have a GEC #71 bullnose, but this one seems to fit the watch pocket perfectly!

Praiseworthy pair of knives!

See my previous two comments.
Wonderful collection of sheep's feet.

Thanks, Steve & Steve; that style knife seems popular all over the world.

That Voos is sensational, Steve!

Sorry I dont know,I just call him Bob...
Black Duck Bob it is!
Yes, that's exactly what I said, except different
1980-2 dots =1978
You say potahto and I say potayto...

You say "1980 – dots showing" and I say "1970 + dots missing". But "dots missing" = 10 – "dots showing".
So you basically do (1970 + 10) – dots showing
and I basically do 1970 + (10 – dots showing).
"Associative Property of Addition" for the win!

I have an example stamped USA but only recently found out it represents United States Army and not United States of America.
Interesting time period for knives in America. I think they were just churning those suckers out as fast as possible.
Thanks for the interesting info, Paul.
