What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

LTWK Frontier Valley, Jack's '19 Lamb, and an old Western spey for work. Have a great day everyone.

I dig that Spey Western!
You could conquer the world with that trio, Jeff. Very cool, my friend.
Thanks much, my friend! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Me? I love a shield on Stag, must be some confusion :)o_O

Many apologies, my Fine Finn Friend. Somehow I got mixed up, which happens often, according to my wife.
Cheers, Will, and that’s a fine knife!🤙
Good evening porchsters,

Don't carry these as much as I should really, I plan to change that, Sentinel and a Buck 151, this was my introduction to supersteel. :) Bos treated S30v, it was a skeleton if you remember, but I liked the knife that much I had a handle put on it. I will make a couple of sheaths when I get a minute.

Nice handling job!
The Victorinox Sentinel looks like a great knife ~ what’s the closed length?
73 liner lock today...

Meanwhile, Mr. Mallard should be berry proud of himself...:)

Great shot! Perfect timing.
Interesting Bowie
Good insights on knife guards!
I picked this Bowie up at a little Ozark gunshop back in the early ‘80s for my truck driver’s weekly lunch budget of $20.
All I know about it was that some local guy forged it, and stamped 1981 on the blade.

I made the sheath before I knew how to stitch leather.

I did a lot of polishing on the blade and cleaned up the finish.

SAK of the Week is a Victorinox folding paring knife; I suppose it's technically not a Swiss Army Knife aka SAK. I didn't intentionally plan my rotation schedule so this knife appeared during Thanksgiving Week, but it certainly is a happy coincidence: I think it's a wonderful knife for carving turkey! Long blade, light weight, liner lock, grippy handle even when somewhat greasy, very portable (rounded tip is not ideal, but not big deal, either).

Stockman of the Week is a Rough Ryder midnight swirl gentleman's (I think this means it's a bit shorter than "normal") sowbelly stockman (thanks, Todd):

That's a sweet one!!! Those certainly caught my attention when I discovered them, although I'm still uncertain of the pronunciation. Not sure if I should grab a roll of tissue or yell "GOOSE!!" 🤷‍♂️
Took a couple of minutes before I figured this one out. 😁😁
That's a good one, Chris, but I think I'd better go to bed!

That's a sweet one!!!
Thanks! I did a forced patina on it to protect against rust and accidentally got some mustard on the handle too. It turns out the handle does NOT react the same way to acid that the carbon steel does, although it creates a nice weathered look. If you polish up the flats near the pivot it smooths out the action real nice. I have heard it pronounced duke duke, but I have no idea if that is right or not.

Great to see you here JJ :) I was going to throw a shout-in my post :) I hope you're keeping well my friend :)
Thank you very much for your kind words, Jack!!! I've been getting a bit overwhelmed, as of late, with family matters. o_O
I'm sticking with the Peasant and adding my K'roo Lambsfoot :)
