That’s some good lookin’ cookin’ Ellis! And I’m sure it tastes better than it looks too - Happy Thanksgiving sir.Family started arriving for Thanksgiving. Started a brisket early this morning so I could add it for the finishing touch on a big pot of Brunswick stew to keep everyone happy. 2# of bacon, 3# ground beef, 2# ground venison and 4# of brisket. Now it’s time to start opening bottles of wine and enjoying a house full of friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Awesome Chevy! Great pic too with your hounds! I believe I see an old mustang taillight on the edge as well?....It’s a rebuilt 1954 Chevy Handyman:

My friend your cutlery selection is great. The food sounds mouthwatering. The lighter steals the show.My dream big knife that I bought from a vendor, Mike, at the Badger Blade Show last spring. He sets up right inside the door, and this caught my eye 30 seconds after entering the show. He has earned some of my money several years in a row now. I think he had to pay his dues to get that booth spot. He’s smart, and always has a bunch of vintage knives I agonize over. Last year he had a big selection of Buck sheath knives that really had me tempted, but the Craftsman won out.
I’d always wanted a Schrade 165 Woodsman, and this being made for Craftsman makes it mo’ better to me.View attachment 2399774
Ran out and pulled a green onion for my girl’s morning omelotte.
2019 Forum Knife, and the @Half/Stop Schrade Whittler to make both Woodnesday and Whittler Wednesday requirements.View attachment 2399775That’s Jason’s battered Zippo that he carried in Afghanistan. I fueled it up to get the smoker lit for the turkey this morning.
I’ll smoke it today, and then bring it to fully cooked in the oven tomorrow while I smoke a big top sirloin beef roast tomorrow.
Enjoy your day, my friends!
Nice indeed.It’s a rebuilt 1954 Chevy Handyman:

You inspired me to be a little bit productive today. Nothing special, but it does make this knife much better to hold. Some Brazilian rosewood scrap from a previous project. Only problem is my Chris Reeve pocket sheath no longer works. Guess I need to make a new sheath too.Love your Texas size Camp Knife. I don’t know how long you’re going to make it your daily regular, but I fully approve.
I would probably pick something nice out of my wood stash, and handle that skeleton knife…

Thanks. Just added the potatoes to finish it off. Another hour or so and it will be ready. Paper bowls and plastic spoons are on standby.Looks entirely mouthwatering
What are you cooking for tomorrow?
Thanks Bart. Under a hundo to my door, and it's one of very few pocketknives I would actually just drop into my pocket without a slip, even cycling this wouldn't bang around or make a hotspot. You may like a lot of knives, but you seem pretty hung on that Krein Tk-1Nice group today FC. I’ve had my eye on the Livri for a while but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Kinda like a lot of knives I guess![]()
I was thinking of jamming a scrap of leather or cork down in there first, read that trick on here somewhere I think.I have had that blade rap, too. I got rid of it by running a thin file down in the blade well to lower the offending high spot. The little dull spot on the blade let me know exactly where it was.
Bill Akers Custom Backwoods and my old onion soup Ka-Bar-Lo for Wednesday.![]()
