What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

LOL! :D Yeah, me neither buddy :) I remember during one of our Covid lockdowns here, when you couldn't have folks in your house (unless you were running the country), me and my mate sat round the fire-pit in my back-garden, drinking beer all afternoon, with warm coats on, and umbrellas in our hands, as it was pouring with rain! :D We had a memorable time :D
That’s a great memory Jack. 😎👍
Have a good week everyone

Nice choice. 😎👍

I guess if all the teams except the Bu-cs lose their remaining games we might make the playoffs! 🤣
Like the Lions in so many years. I'm so used to paying no mind to the Detroit Lions, I was astonished to see they had an 8-2 record before their traditional Thanksgiving Day loss.
8-3 still ain't bad.

One more combined thank-you to Modoc ED Modoc ED :

You'd need some very precise technique to fight a bear with the tiny trapper. You might be better off charming the bear with it.

Great pics Jeff :)

“Burly” Lamb for a burly guy! 😎
Thanks, Jack!
Oh yeah ~ I need to add broccoli to my shopping list.

Superior Garden Gnome! 🤙

54 Jack, 175 Schrade ~ thanks, Paul!, and what used to be a file and some Hawthorn wood I cut years ago. When I was a kid, and my friends and I were canoe camping on the Fox River, we called this wood “Ironwood” because we could barely cut it with my Official Boy Scout Plumb hatchet.

Black and white because there’s very little color in this morning’s sunlight.02E2F1B4-CC99-4768-BA72-C5D72B670AE5.jpegE12563ED-1B77-4F0B-A477-881AD0616CDD.jpegHave a fine Monday!

Cindy is going up to Klamath Falls, Oregon with her sister-in-law for a doctors appointment and shopping. They go to the same doctor and he sees them both at the same time in the exam room etc.. Yikes!!!! Then they go shopping and Cindy does an excellent job spending our money. My highlight of the day will be the six McDonald's cheeseburgers and two fish sandwiches Cindy brings home for me. This Sowbelly will make a good carry today. Coffee and a roll for breakfast.

My canoes this week are a Rough Rider amber jigged bone canoe (my first example of the pattern and apparently the "trigger" to my canoe obsession) and a Case burnt amber bone Tru-Sharp model.

A year ago, I was working on the final draft of my new weekly rotation schedule that tells me what knives to carry each week in each of 11 different categories. That schedule went into effect on January 1, 2023 and will take me up to St. Patrick's Day 2024 before I have to "renew" it.
But I've obtained quite a few knives since the start of this year that haven't been inserted into the schedule yet, so they essentially haven't been carried officially (although I often carry new knives around for a while unofficially so I can take photos of them). Thanksgiving Week had me thinking about all the things for which I'm thankful, and among them are the knives I've I acquired in 2023, several of which were gifts. So this week, I'm going to at least post photos of those relatively-new knives, even though they're not yet on my rotation schedule.

I'll start with a couple of canoes I've been gifted this year.
