You hit the nail on the head. Thinking about that “momentarily satisfied” part, so true regarding acquiring and possessing “things”.When you ask for something accessible, if you don't get it, you're sad, if you get it, you are momentarily satisfied.
When you ask something unrealistic, if you don't get it , you're not sad, only player can win. But it you get it the joy is incredible.
The moral of the story : NEVER BE REALIST !
Thanks so much Charlie @waynorth and @Rhidian

The Made In England Klein is a new revelation to me, too. That is a solid work knife. The most excellent Boker is in the front pocket for all normal daily chores.
Work knife of the week in the side pocket is this English made Klein. Ibberson I assume. Very well made work knife for what it is. Smooth, centered, no blade play, well done! Glad to see Klein had sourced products from somewhere other than the far east.

Quite a beautiful pocket knife, Tyler!
Now I see why you left on your Thanksgiving trip with so few pocket knives. You had a little of what I callThank you, Gary. It was a enjoyable trip spending time with family as well as finding a knife store to browse while there.
Your RR smooth tobacco bone knives are very nice, Rough Rider does smooth bone as well as any IMO.
Today I'm pocketing another new one that I picked up on my travels, a case mini trapper in jigged brown bone. I'm not a big fan of this pattern but it could grow on me.
I really liked the bone on this one and that's what sold me the most. Also packing my GEC 56 dogleg today, one that has seen many days of solid use.
Gonna clean my shop today and maybe work on some hobby projects. Hope all you porchsters have a sunny Tuesday, even if it's bitter cold where you are like it is here.![]()
Feeling cleansed and refreshed from your sabbatical? I tried that a few times. Made it a couple of hours!I missed everyone for a week. Good to see all these beautiful shiny sharp things.

This well used stockman that belonged to my late grandfather has been finding itself in my pocket here recently as I've been packing around his namesake who is nearly two weeks old now.

That’s an awesome Covid story!!!!![]()
Thanks Steve![]()
LOL!Yeah, me neither buddy
I remember during one of our Covid lockdowns here, when you couldn't have folks in your house (unless you were running the country), me and my mate sat round the fire-pit in my back-garden, drinking beer all afternoon, with warm coats on, and umbrellas in our hands, as it was pouring with rain!
We had a memorable time

Well, did your better half bring you the Ronald McDonald stuff?Cindy is sleeping in this morning after her and her sister-in-law's exhausting trip to Klamath Falls, Oregon yesterday. Don't laugh. It took a lot of effort to tap and swipe credit cards while she was shopping. Thought I'd give this short bolster Barlow by A.Wright a go today. Very nice fit and finish and very nice Ebony. Cinnamon toast and coffee for breakfast.
