I know how you feel, Greg.Western 522 that I picked up at a flea market last year and a Schrade stockman. The Western has become fairly regular in my carry rotation, its a nice size for pocket carry and locks up solidly when opened. A solid user, it surprised me by how much I like it.
The Scharde is in minty condition and I want to keep it this way to pass on to one of my grandsons one day. I admire this knife very much and only carry it on occasion. When I do carry this one it rides in a pocket slip to take out and admire a few times a day. Mostly it stays in storage.
