What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Totinโ€™ two today. The 1306 is a special one to me. Thanks to the kindness of Charlie, waynorth waynorth and Reese Bose, I was able to have this old Remington refurbished with a new blade of etched A2. Reese did an amazing job on the blade of course, but he was also miraculously able to reassemble the knife as it should be; centered blade, tight lockup, and great action. Reese added another hundred years of life to the knife.

Beautiful mini trapper Greg, love the shield on that one. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
Thanks, Todd. A recent pick up, still undecided on if I like mini trappers or not but this one had the bone I couldn't pass on.
That Pal punch has plenty of panache, Greg!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Gary. You have a way with words, my friend. ๐Ÿ™‚

Going with a GEC 72 and Case 6318 today as crazy eye Roy ponders my decision. ๐Ÿ™‚View attachment 2421150

Thanks Steve....now to find a Hamm's for nostalgia. Last time was in Kansas in 1968.
That's going back a ways Bob, I'd only been drinking a couple of years then! :D
Good morning, hope you all have a great day.

My thoughts are with the people of Tennessee after that tornado.๐Ÿ™
I'd not heard of that one, hope everyone is OK

the annual "Christmas" party is today.
Switching to me "go to 'meetin"/"par-Tay" (almost "impressive") knife.
Rough Rider RR1419 "large" 3.875 inch closed Stone Worx stockman. The pull on all the blades is a Buck 301-ish "3"~"4" ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

real black lip mop and abalone. real genuine recontituted turquoise and blood jasper rocks.
Not sure about the ring's turquoise. I think it is reconstituded as well.

EDIT
sure hope there's a beer or two + in the present bag and/or stocking again this year.
They won't buy me beer/wine/rye whiskey (& a 2 liter of RC Cola to mix the rye) if I put on my monthly shopping list (and pay for said list.)

EDIT DUCE
DaRn ... no beer.โ˜น๏ธ ๐Ÿ™„
Guess I'll stick with this stockman for a few days. It don't get a lotta pocket time.

Thank you Bob! It was a bad one for sure. My wife and I were walking from our car to the Opryland Hotel lobby when the sirens went off. They stuck hundreds of us down in the tunnels below the hotel while it went through. Some people down there were receiving calls and photos of the damage it was creating in real time. I was happy to have a safe place to shelter, and happy to get out of the tunnels after an hour and a half.

Yesterday's late night edition of my traditional carry for the week, courtesy of Jon's fun and generous GAW thread. Maybe today I'll manage to snap a pic before the sun sets, the subject matter certainly deserves it. The Eureka Jack is still my favorite GEC pattern. Hope everyone on the Porch is ready for the holidays, at least more ready than me?

Seems you are ready for the day Todd. ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸปHave a good one.
Thanks Bob. ๐Ÿ‘
Very cool photo. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
We used to go to the Outpost on Tuesdays for pool and cheeseburgers. We got out of the habit during the pandemic, but decided to go today. Best cheeseburgers around ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘

I donโ€™t love spear mains but I must say there is something about the Eureka Jack that is very compelling. What a cool pattern.
