When I opened the thread for my daily browsing, this was first picture I saw and audibly said “wow.”
Thought it is a 14.Yes, he's a 14. Got a second one on the bench in case the starter gets tired. After all, he does get carried EVERY day.
Don't let it fool ya! It's 100% staged, but when the light is juuuusttt right. When I opened the thread for my daily browsing, this was first picture I saw and audibly said “wow.”

I always love seeing shadow patterns, especially with the large pivot. Very cool, ToddI saw a similar one in St. Louis last weekend.

Carrying these two Bokers in Christmas colors today. The copperhead was a generous gift from @Modoc ED, the shadow pattern boy’s knife is super snappy!

Indeed. I carried a Spartan only while travelling a few days this summer, I got withdrawal symptoms. I compensated by ordering a couple of traditionals (a muskrat and a large stockman, if memory serves me right).Thought it is a 14.
I carried mine for over a year, then swapped in a Huntsman (for the saw and multi purpose package hook, both of which get used once on a while.) when I got it a few months ago.
Both are very capable knives/multi tools. I could probably "get by" with just a SAK ... but what fun would that be?![]()
Very nice pairing David.
Thanks Jon. These are well made having the Schrade heritage.I dig the Franklin. Because of you, I watch pen knives on eBay. It’s a fun little pastime. I do love these covers, and if I remember right, I see them every once and awhile with various tang stamps. I assume from your comment that this is a typical Schrade coat to pass around. It surely is attractive!
