What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Not the best picture but I was crawling on my belly under a house so I'll give myself a pass.

Great coat on your lamb Gary.👌
Great pics of your '19 Gary !
Thanks, Bob & Steve. :) Most of those desert ironwood Guardians lambsfoot knives have very impressive wood grain, IMHO.

I like the idea of a 2-blade lambsfoot, Steve, and as I often say, Cherish the Churchill!:thumbsup::cool:

Stupendous stag stockman in the stunshine!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Howdy, Porcheteers! Did I miss anything?

I went up to NYC at the beginning of December for Mom's 90 birthday. Had a great time. Picked up my first case of Covid for a souvenir. 🤒🤬 Feeling better now.

I'm carrying a set of piano key covers today:

Knives that Chopin would love, I'm sure!🤓
Glad you're getting over your late-onset COVID. I've been quite happy finding knives as souvenirs of any traveling I do; COVID as souvenir, even as a "first", seems lame to me.

Gingerbread House decorating day today. The grandkids ate more of the candy decorations than they put on their houses!!

A bone stag Case canoe bumps up the "curb appeal" of any gingerbread house!:cool::thumbsup:

Dog Leg and Conductor today...

Splendid pair of knives, Paul, and I really like that "sawcut" plank/floorboard they're on!:cool::cool:

Busy packing for my Christmas vacation here. Have a great weekend everyone :)

Hope you have a safe, healthy, and enjoyable trip, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:
Your stag HHB is as superb as ever, and that Winchester toothpick is very festive!:thumbsup::cool:
I don't remember seeing the toothpick before, but I there are many things I don't remember these days.

Both my parents are in their 90s now, and it dawned on me that their longevity could be inherited & I'd better take care of my health if I want to be as mobile and pain-free as possible. Mom is vegan and walks everywhere, and Dad is kind of the opposite, with a sweet tooth. I'm seeking the middle ground. 😇 In fact, I'm going to attempt a walk today if it warms up a bit.
Over the past 4 years, I've done a lot of walking, including daily 6-mile round trip commutes to/from work, year-round. I've found that I hardly notice the cold when I'm walking in temps down into the teens or lower, but I usually wear heavy-duty winter wear. (My hands are the hardest part of me to keep warm in winter.)

Spent the week at work in this Radiation Detection course. At the end of the week the instructor asked “does anyone feel overwhelmed by everything presented this week?” I thought to myself “who wouldn’t?” Next sentence from instructor “Well we did just cover a semester’s worth of graduate courses in one week, so…” 😳😳😳

Albers lamb and the stag 77 with me all week in the spirit of the generous giveaway @JonMcD is hosting.

I detect plenty of good vibes radiating from that pair of knives.
That Albers lambsfoot has fantastic covers; looks like bird feathers to me!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Striking bone Sodbuster Jr, Will!:cool::thumbsup:

What kind of wood are you using? All of mine are fallen cedar. I haven't branched out to anything else. Funny, I'll start one and set it aside and then start another. I'm building one now for my Dad with a paracord grip which I hope to have done by Christmas.

This photo is the one that I was working on in that photo .

It is a Hickory limb from a tree that I had to remove . I stripped off the outer and inner bark . If you want to use Hickory , try to get the Stick in the Spring when it is supposedly easier strip the bark . I have tried to stain it twice and it takes some but very little stain . This photo shows some others that I have done . Material is from Left to Right . Oak , Old Shovel Handle , Oak Limb , Mullberry Sapling that I saved for 50 years that had a vine growing around it .

I do not really need the sticks to walk yet but I do have Spinal Stenosis and at my age it will only be a matter of time before I do . I do enjoy using the Brass Hames and inlaying them onto the end . The Silver Round objects are Buffalo Nickels the were on an old Hat Band .
There are a lot of people making walking sticks that just blow my mind with their skills .

Impressive bunch of sticks, gentlemen!:cool::thumbsup:

Carrying this stockman today. Pulls on the blades are lighter than all my 8OT's are on 2 examples I have. Very similar to Buck 301s. About a 5. This is starting to appeal to me in my old age;)

I especially admire the checkered covers!:cool::cool:

Made a new braided leather lanyard for this two bladed Case folder, a bit wider so it doesn't slide around on the bail as much.

Very cool braided fob, Gary!:thumbsup::cool:
I thought I remembered a thread you had made, explaining how to make one like that. I finally found it, but the photos seem to have "died". I'll bet I can find a tutorial somewhere on YouTube.

Pony Jack & Angus Jack today. We just got home from a baby shower Mrs. Crappie put on for our daughter and son in law. It’s been a busy week with all the crafting and cooking, but all the ladies had fun. This is our first Grand baby and we sure are excited!
