Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you guys, gals, and youngsters. I hope today is fruitful for you all. We're headed up to the sister-in-laws's for Christmas dinner in about four hours. There'll be nephews, nieces, in-laws, cousins, along with a mishmash of others. I'll just roost at my designated spot at the kitchen counter/island and watch the goings on. I got this Scout Hunter a week ago today as my Christmas present to me and will carry it today.

Today I am carrying a very special knife. I have long desired a chestnut bone CV sway back jack. Chief Chief , being aware of this, sent me the finest of examples turned out by Case. My pictures cannot do it justice and do not compare to Chief’s always stellar pictures. Trust me, this truely is a magnificent knife.

This one as of this morning. My 16 year old daughter bought it for me for Christmas. She said she has wanted to buy it for a couple of years. Not being one to pass up a nice big sheepsfoot.... I ordered this "mozzetta" from M Fraraccio. It came yesterday and it's pretty cool. Fit and finish is meh... The horn is very nice looking and I really like the pile side coloring. The horn has gaps though on the one side. It had a super gritty action but is now smooth after lots of oil and working the blade. Nice and snappy now. Blade is off center and just about hits the liner.

Overall it's a good user! Very sharp. I don't think I'd get another from this manufacturer but I'm happy to have this one and will certainly put it to good use.

For a user that’s all they need, not every knife has to have perfect F&F 👍🏼
