I hope you are getting better and don't have to go back into the hospital!

Hahaha, that Doors joke was an excellent way to start my morning over here. Kudos to you sir.

Also, don't give up on fried chicken, there are much better places than Popeyes.

I've been playin' with my new Tinus Stone gunstock today. Kind of a modified sheepfoot blade, pinchable, although firmly sprung. At 3¾" closed, it's a nice size, and I'm curious to see just what this blade shape is suited for. So far the tip seems a little blunt for opening envelopes, but it should be great for breaking down cardboard.

Way-Barney, your first photo looks like a good place to throw out a few decoys and call a little bit. Ever see any ducks around there?
Hi Jeff,
there are lots of ducks round here, that particular water has relatively few visitors, probably because the water is not very good quality. However, less than a mile from this area is quite a large body of water and a nineteenth century "canal", which is a type of man made river, historically used for transport before the advent of motor vehicles. There we get lots of quite rare winter visitors for the northern arctic circle, there are so many Canada and Pinkfooted geese that we are tripping over them! Literally! In the early morning and evening they fly overhead in several quite large flocks traveling to/from their pasture. Sadly, from my point of view, we do not have the freedom that you guys over there enjoy! Most types of hunting is restricted and/or illegal, which probably stems from the 12th century when only landed gentry were allowed to hunt on their private estates. The common folk, like me would have been "poachers" if they had hunted. I would not not have been allowed to own a dog like mine, if discovered she would have had her feet broken, or worse.

I will take out a good camera tomorrow instead of the phone and snap a few, so you can see what I mean, its so frustrating. I could be on free food for the rest of my life from within two miles of "our house". :)

No rain, no snow, no nuttin. Gotta wonder why they're paying a weather person for nuttin. Anyway, it's a laid back day today and the weekend will be laid back too so, thought this "Slammed in the Truck Door, Shield fell out of, patched with J-B Weld" CV Sod Buster Junior would make a good carry. We,re all stocked up with goodies from the Holiday Market and don't see much reason to go to town for the next few days. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.
