What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hanging out with this Keown today. The only thing I have to do today besides perusing this site 24/7 is getting some groceries. Got to eat. Actually I need to lose some weight but I try to keep my new year resolutions doable. Losing weight wasn’t even on the list. Buying some knives was. I can do that.

Nice buck Ed.👌
When there are sighting of mountain lions, as a gentleman, do you let Cindy lead under the guise of " ladies first?" ( as when you let her go out the door first under certain circumstances?😁

There is absolutely no "under the guise of" involved at all. It's purely "sacrificial lamb". She's fully aware of the situation and has known for years that her knight in shining armor has a few dull spots on his armor.

That's a killer pair right there! (or "thar" since you're in SOUTH Carolina) 🫢

Lose some weight? Pfft!! Just empty all the knives from your pockets. Ta-da!! 😀 Beautiful carry today, by the way!

Another beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! Went and saw the dermatologist yesterday about my finger looks like it’s either a cyst or an infection caused by the formation of gout on the pad of my index finger. Doc took a biopsy which was like having a miniature post hole digger make a small hole in the infected area and remove a sample of tissue that is being sent out to the lab. Should get the results in a week or two. if it’s a cyst I’ll need to have surgery if it’s gout I’ll need medication. In the meantime I’ll have to keep it clean and dry and covered up. Commiserating with me today the usual lamb and a Viper. Have a great day folks! 😀View attachment 2444948View attachment 2444949

Sorry to hear about your finger, Dan. Sounds ugly 🙁

Cruising around this morning with the Dog. Had a nylon Huntsman on belt and very light Case lockback LT14505L. If going out for walk these two serve me well.

I'm very glad the appointment went well Dan :)
Gracias Jack :)

I see you often feed birds, and just kindly remind, pay more attention if you wanted to feed 🐿️squirrel.
Glad you are ok ! I searched a bit on google and it appears that squirrels are highly unlikely to carry and even more unlikely to transmit rabies to humans.
I also searched how to tell if a squirrel has a fever but I am afraid I can't help with that :D

I see a knife calendar in your future 😂. Chickadee Cutlery! That has a nice ring to it 😃.
Gracias mi amigo
It has an even nicer ring to it if you say it fast several times in a row ... with a hispanic accent :D

These two on my desk today vying for my attention :)

Perfect pair
Don't believe in accidental double lambfoot days? Let me spin you a yarn...

So I took both of these knives with me on a week-long vacation in northern Georgia (saw snow fall for the first time in my life!) but somehow the Albers managed to stay packed away the whole time while the TEW, which I've dubbed "Harvey's Wood-Lottery Lamb" dominated my pocket for the entire trip!

Anyhow, upon unpacking, I got to thinking that they were pretty similar in size and shape and, especially after reading how @ea42 was inspired by historic examples, I figured I'd get them together for a little comparative chicken-eyeing and coon-fingering.

Right as I got them both in hand, my GF's father showed up to wish us a happy new year, I absentmindedly dropped them both into my pocket - and an accidental double lambfoot day was born!

Happy accidents!

Those are the BEST days! 😍:D:thumbsup:
We only use cast iron here. Saw a documentary on Teflon and the next day we chucked out all our non stick and bought all cast iron.

I must have seen the same program - all stainless steel and cast iron over here!

A few months back, I restored a stainless steel pot and a couple tiny cast-iron skillets that belonged to my grandmother - they're the perfect size for a single burger or a fried egg and now get used on a daily basis!

I guess folks got frightened of butter and oil for a while there, but Teflon seems a lot scarier in retrospect!
I think I saw that one too!:thumbsup:
