Glad you are ok ! I searched a bit on google and it appears that squirrels are highly unlikely to carry and even more unlikely to transmit rabies to humans.
I also searched how to tell if a squirrel has a fever but I am afraid I can't help with that

Ya, the department officer (or representative) called me back and told me:
"After our search, in the past 99 years, there is no one in the area where you got bite reported get rabies, rest assured, you are safe".

Thanks Bob. The linen Micarta did come out nice. No inspiration from my trip, just been itching to skate but it’s been so wet here I haven’t been able to do it. Even if it’s not raining, the fog makes the ramp too wet.

I carried my eureka today. Something chased the cattle and balled them up in a couple different corners and they blew up the fences in several places. Most of the cattle were in the wrong field, I had cattle in with the neighbor’s cattle, heifers in with the bulls and steers, and a bunch of fence to fix. I suspect it was the three coyotes I saw in the next field.

It's 0200 local, can't sleep, so...

Didn't take too many hours this evening to realize the 532 is going displace the 112. This is going in my pocket/ on my belt today, and will likely occupy that spot for a while.
