No problem, I really like RoseCraft Blades. Designed and located in TN I believe but the knives are made off shore. I rec'd two at first as a gifts from family and am totally impressed. Solid and centered in the well, ZERO play on any of mine, D2 blades that came sharper than anything I can recall.Well if you are (hopefully) stuck inside, would you mind responding to a question? I was wondering how you like that RoseCraft French knife? I have been looking at that one and the swayback clinch jack of theirs and was wondering about your opinion.
It is pretty cold in the central US, but not like -9° without wind-chill. My area is supposed to get wind-chill with gusts into the -35°territory, and I am not going outside to test that theory. So going off your idea I brought out my Douk Douk to think warm thoughts.
Very nice,Again I remind myself of Mike Royko's description of the Winter Olympics with a made-up Scandinavian word meaning "numbing sameness".

I like the way EKA puts two springs on one blade.
I watched an episode of Maria Wern last night, speaking of Sweden.
Poor Ardvarksen- a few episodes ago his father died and he found out he was adopted, then a couple episodes ago he found his biological big sister, and they were getting along famously, then his big sister turns out to be a serial killer who sets fire to his new girlfriend whom he can't have anyway because she's in a super secret witness protection program.
Tra la tra la.
Thanks, Jeff.I’ve always thought the large Case Stockman is a very handsome knife, Greg.

What really impresses me is their bone is beautiful and the transition from the bolsters to the bone covers is almost flawless. They say on their web site they intend to manufacter here someday and I wish them the best. Obviously the cost will increase but I'd have no issue paying more if that were to happen.
Nice background for that workhorse! No mini-katanas, today?
Another one with a curve in it?!A gnarly one, this is...View attachment 2454304
Was it you that had the Queen Sodbuster? Thanks, Jeff.I'm always drawn to the squared off bolster designs on knives, even if the rounded ones are a tad more pocket friendly.
Threw the same pairing in my pockets today as yesterday, no time for a switcher 'roo as it was a hectic morning, Things just now settled down and I'm able to relax with a cup of coffee on my front porch while I browse the BF porch goings on.

Awesome pair Bob glad you didn’t flood. Well done Paul and Jeremy60 mph winds and 3.5 inches of rain last night, fortunately we prepared.

I can’t waitThanks Todd. My calendar for this year is dad jokes.
Thanks Gary. I think I got that mitt 34 years ago when I was 12 and playing little league. It’s still going strong. It was my first time replacing laces on a glove and I wouldn’t have done it if my son hadn’t encouraged me to do it. It was a fun rainy day project but I agree, it looks like relacing the web would be difficult.Nice job on re-lacing the ball gloves, Bart!I'd never seen a Wally Joyner first base mitt before.
I've had 5 gloves over the past 64 years, starting with a Sears Ted Williams model in 1960, but I only replaced the laces on one of them. Based on my experience, you were wise not to try replacing the "coil" of lacing at the top of the webbing.
