What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Oh, I have a whole camera roll of photos! 🤣 He looks tired here because he spent the entire day playing fetch and chasing his tail. A dogs life!

That there's a good boy, I can tell! Sorry for delayed response Patrick, you were so prompt with the pooch photo.
K’roo and a new Catt Spey.
Great pair Paul, that is my favorite spey I've seen you with since the ball-cutting bug hit you hard.

Now that outside doesn't hurt exposed flesh, I hope to resume regular photo services 😁

It’s been a busy weekend! We’ve been running back and forth across the mountain to the hospital anxiously awaiting the birth of our first grandbaby. Thursday was a false alarm, but Friday night we were back again. Then very late last night we were blessed with a beautiful granddaughter. Both Momma and Baby are doing well; Son-In-Law is a little worse for wear, but nothing that a good night’s sleep won’t fix. Incidentally, he probably won’t get that for awhile.😂
A little late but Congratulations, Grandpa! I love seeing your new barlow everyday. It’s a beaut.

Have had little time for knife fuss, was too busy using them. Been in a desperate hurry to seal up the house before the weather hit, heat didn't keep up last winter below 25 degrees, so -10 seemed daunting. 8 days of caulk and foam left my bank account hurting, but she's holding fast at 71 in here so that's nice. You only pay for sealing work once, but the gas bill comes every month ;) . I may have put a knife on the credit card to thank myself 😈
Today's carry on bottom, I have been using a new method for fast patina and it's working really well.
Stay warm, Porch-mongers.
The patina looks good FC. So does the new fixed blade.
I do not ski, but do hunt and the draws at the back of the photo look inviting
It’s a great place to walk in the woods. I know there are tons of bears, probably a lot of deer too.
Beautiful photos Bart. 😎👍
If you are going to brave the cold, that's the place to be.
Very nice Bart.
Thanks guys. I’m lucky we’re close enough that we can just go up and enjoy the snow for the weekend.
Hope you had a good time!
Thanks Barrett, we did. Although it feels a little weird with all the cold everyone is having and we are going out looking for it.

Good Morning Porchsters,

A day in the shed today, unexpectedly. Rufus1949 Rufus1949 will be happy. Thanks Bob!
After a few days carry of the 23 forum knife I had been thinking its not worth taking out of the house, as its a very fine point and brilliant for opening stuff from the freezer, packaging, parcels etc. However, this morning needed to cut a bit of birch bark for a project and I used the fine point to good advantage cutting sections in one hit, which is good. I can also see a use for cutting out lock and hinge pockets on doors or door casings. With such a very fine point I think it will be imperative to maintain a steady hand.

This one yesterday. I got to thinking I need something that opens really easily for this weather.
I'm looking for an easy-open jack scaled up like a first-grader's pencil.

Maybe this little one for the doctor this morning.

Nice to have so little on my mind that I can give so much thought to pocket knives.

I also saw what I think is a juvenile bald eagle. Don’t see many of those around here.

Nice photos Bart. We are fortunate enough to have Eagles around here all year long, but
I never get tired of seeing one. A few weeks ago I saw one land in the tree when I was at my neighbor’s watching football. Then, a few minutes later he was joined by another one. IMG_0836-compressed.jpegIMG_0837-compressed.jpeg
