Well as an Eagle Scout I have three or four fifty milers a float and on foot from doing the Boundary Waters a long time ago. Man, I hated the portages!

While not an Eagle Scout, I grew up canoeing, and was always fond of it. That said, my last canoeing expedition was some years ago. I learned quickly that our two small boys couldn’t stay midline within the boat, and my wife didn’t fully understand that the front person’s job is to help steer. It was exhausting. lol.

I hear you, I had my dad sitting in front constantly telling me what I was doing wrong! But in hindsight I wouldn’t change a thing.
