What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Help me find a thread.

Yesterday I was reading a thread that had a video of how to center a blade, I got sidetracked and now I can't find it . 😯
Was it this one?https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/not-so-swell-center-jack.1910617/#post-21712889
Nice duo today Jeff.👌
Your pic shows why I use shelled seeds.
Thank you, Bob. I hate to ask what you pay for shelled SF seeds. I pay between $15, and $20 for a fifty # sack.
Since the shells are organic carbon, they’re good for the grass.

Check out the mess left by the freeloading birds. They have consumed around fifty pounds of black oil sunflower seeds in the past month.

Jeff,
Was that you sneaking around my bird feeders the other day? Looks just like the mess in my yard!

I could carry this one every day. It's thin, nice to look at and fiddle with, has nice steel, a sharp edge (thanks to me), and does almost everything I need.

Dusting of snow overnight. Headed to town for a haircut and to eat at the Brass Rail Restaurant then picking up some groceries before heading home. This Scout Trapper will make a good carry. No breakfast. Saving room for the Thursday Special at the Brass Rail - Ravioli .

Just a little fog to start the day here in the City by the Bay! Already beginning to burn off. Found out that my medical insurance doesn’t cover glasses so it’s out of pocket. Looks like I’m going to CostCo for them. In the meantime keeping me company the usual lamb and with a nod to Thrifty Thursday a T-29. Have a great day folks! 😀

Sweet pair of antiques!

I’m not talking about the Demolition knives.
I was referring to the knife he pictured, the jigged bone Easy Open Two Blade Jack known as the Navy Utility Jack made during WWII. I only know of the three I mentioned, but I should have said “AS FAR AS I KNOW” to be safe.😉

I have the Camillus and the PAL, but never pursued the Imperial simply because I am not very active in pursuing new knives. View attachment 2470213
Very nice examples Jeff.👍🏻

At around 100 years, it still has lots of use left!! My Good Luck piece is a $5 poker chip, contributed by an ancient Elephant!!
It's a treasure Charlie ;) :)
Another rainy day here in the City by the Bay! Just got back from seeing the eye doctor and I’m going to need glasses. Everything else looks good, no glaucoma or cataracts. Along for the ride the Harvey Special and little SAK. Have a great day folks! 😀View attachment 2469233View attachment 2469234

Hope you had a great birthday Mitch :)

As I had to go into town I had something to eat, fish and chips with mushy peas. 😊

Then a little look around the old prison which started of as a Castle a 1000 years ago as those pesky Viking fellows kept raiding us by sailing up the Thames River.

Now its a Hotel they just knocked a few cells together to make the rooms bigger a great idea if you are claustrophobic (not),as the windows do not open.

I went to reception and they where happy for me to wander around.

The big gate used to be the entrance to the prison, once when driving for a skip hire firm I had to lower the skip and reverse in.

I was just glad no one rioted and they let me out again. 😅

The big castle mound used to have no fences around it.

When we where younger and drunk it was the done thing to climb the wall, then the mound and roll down but stopping before the wall and knocking yourself out. 🤭

Young and foolish. 😇

I had forgotten just how much I love my SAK Soldier 77.

Came home to find a letter from King Charles it should say OHMSS (on his majestys secret service). 😊

Nice carry, Dan! We had fog here too. It's finally lifting.
I've been buying my prescription glasses at Costco for years and I've never had a problem.

When I play poker I play the odds: Good, go for it; Shaky, see what the bet is; Not good, fold. Beyond that its irrelevant ;)
When I bet on horses, I go for the one with the funny name! :D I don't really bet on horses though ;)
From the covid sourdough heyday :D
