What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Going with the Rancher and a Lamb. Have a great day! 😎👍View attachment 2470315
Very nice Todd :)
Just a little fog to start the day here in the City by the Bay! Already beginning to burn off. Found out that my medical insurance doesn’t cover glasses so it’s out of pocket. Looks like I’m going to CostCo for them. In the meantime keeping me company the usual lamb and with a nod to Thrifty Thursday a T-29. Have a great day folks! 😀

Have you tried any of the online firms?
As I had to go into town I had something to eat, fish and chips with mushy peas. 😊

Then a little look around the old prison which started of as a Castle a 1000 years ago as those pesky Viking fellows kept raiding us by sailing up the Thames River.

Now its a Hotel they just knocked a few cells together to make the rooms bigger a great idea if you are claustrophobic (not),as the windows do not open.

I went to reception and the where happy for me to wander around.

The big gate used to be the entrance to the prison, once when driving for a skip hire firm I had to lower the skip and reverse in.

I was just glad no one rioted and they let me out again. 😅

The big castle mound used to have no fences around it.

When we where younger and drunk it was the done thing to climb the wall, then the mound and roll down but stopping before the wall and knocking yourself out. 🤭

Young and foolish. 😇

I had forgotten just how much I love my SAK Soldier 77.

No doubt porridge is on the breakfast menu! You been called up again?! ;) Great pics John

International Knife of the Week is an all-metal Mikov from the Czech Republic (thanks, Tom). It has an anchor on the bolster, a shackle, and a linerlock.

I am probably mistaken, but yours looks similar to mine. 😳
I think the only difference is one still has its sparkely tape?
Is yours a non stainless blade too?

Good knives. Slice as good as an Opinel or MAM ... will even take (and hold) the 10 DPS edge I like.

I have been looking at the Warby Parker site. It’s kind of cool that you can try on the glasses virtually. I’m in no rush and still plan to check out CostCo.

Great pair of knives, and that coffee cup brought back a flood of good memories. My dad and uncles took us trout fishing at Bennett Springs many times when I was a kid. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder waiting for the opening bell, eating fresh trout for lunch (sometimes), shenanigans camping out with my cousins, always was a great time

Some fine fixed blades, congrats Jack (and nicely done Paul).

I picked these to carry simply because of their bright colors, to help offset a gloomy day.
