What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

in honor of Bastille Day my new Chambriard Compact in Juniper wood.

Beautiful knife! It's nice to see another good use for juniper.:D

Here's that Peanut sized Ohta again. I'm trying it out with this front pocket wallet. I got tired of sitting on the back pocket wallet brick.
So far so good.

Nice setup, Gary. I switched to front pocket carry a few years ago and I definitely don't miss the big wallet. It forces you to eliminate all the unnecessary cards that seem to pile up. I was also skeptical about it relieving back pain, but it's helped more than I thought it would. It's always good to see the Ohta again, too.

Carried this guy for half the day....

Your picture reminds me that I haven't cracked open Ashley for a while. Guess that'll be my task for this afternoon.

Carrying my red delrin Case 6147 today and still trying to get the edge where I want it.

My Barlow today---fighting with some rust issues as of late with the high HUMIDITY---don't like HUMIDITY :p

Paul, there is a rust & corrosion inhibitor called "Boeshield T-9" developed by Boeing. I use it mixed with a little light machine oil and WD-40 on a cotton rag and let it 'dry'; then wipe my 1095 blades with it. It sticks on and forms an excellent wax & oil layer of protection, but don't cut your breakfast with it! lol Works well here in the Pacific NW.

had some rough garden work on so..

can't get much more traditional for an Englishman to use these in the summer sun! :)

I fancy a Buck Canoe.. anyone got one??

Smooth bone day.

It's like seeing your lifetime, as represented in knives. :)

Thanks Andi & Sarah. Especially my Grandad's Schrade, because so much of who I am today can be traced right back to him, both in the things he instilled in me in our 10 short years together, and the man he raised, who raised me. Two good men who poured their lives into me.

That's what this place is all about, who we are and why I'm here :thumbup::thumbup:

Amen Doug!!! Thanks for that, made my day reading that ;)
