Not sure what has happened on my Laguiole, and Le Thiers had almost same situation.
Tried to use metal spike clean it but the scratches left.

Then the idea came to my mind late, use Benchmade 15017-1 make wood "spike", cleaning job done.

Very nice, Will. Buffalo horn on that French beauty?
Very cool picture, Jack !!!!
Nice group of knives, Jer.I've only just noticed that one of the virtues of the copperhead is that it protects your tender pocket linings from the sharp edge of the tang.
Not that I remember ever having a tang-edge chew through a pocket lining.

Got a little dusting my way also,Ed. Hope your day is going well. That scout trapper should make a fine carry.Snowed night before last and as temperatures rose during the day yesterday, it turned to rain and then as the temperatures cooled last night it snowed through the night. Headed to town in a couple of hours. We're thinking about having lunch at the Stock Yards. Haven't carried this Scout Trapper lately so I'll carry it today.

Spring has arrived in sunny south Florida, at least according to the mating behaviors of the local squirrel and lizard populations!
This spread should be called the "Patina Starter Kit." I'll be a regular customer of any retailer that sends one free with any new carbon steel knife purchase!
My sweetie thinks I'm nuts for hoarding chopsticks (in addition to pocketknives...) but jobs like this are just one of the many reasons why!
