What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I grabbed my horsecut antique #73 to play with this evening while watching the golf.

Now you've inspired me, friend. :) Your stag Schlieper copperhead looks so good I couldn't get the image out of my head. I had to go into the knife cabinet this morning and try to find something similar to carry today. Not as appealing to me as the copperhead pattern, or the stag scales on yours, but just the same it is a very well built knife. Actually its not stag in the true sense but elk antler. I dyed the antler a few years ago to the current color as it was too bland looking for my taste originally. I was quite satisfied carrying and using it today
so thank you for giving me inspiration. :thumbsup::)

That’s a beauty there and looks good with the dye job. I always liked the Queen #69 straight jacks.😄

It occurred to me .... "Primble" ..... for the first time .... today ....... that your user name "Johnny the Fox" ....... might possibly have some hidden ....... or un-hidden meaning.
I read your post completely before viewing the pics. I had imagined the worst !!! 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 :oops::oops::oops:☠️

Instead ....... I noticed the birds feet were barely covered with water ...... your shoes still had the soles out of water ....... one knee on your britches ( that's trousers for you English folk ) looks a little dirty, like you knelt down somewhere ( likely taking a picture ) . No blood, knives look clean, your hands looked very clean, even that squirrels feet look clean ! 🤔:rolleyes:

Now I ain't one to doubt a man's tall tale ....... on the other hand Mr. P. don't appreciate gettin' his leg pulled out of socket neither.

So I won't suggest your tale is a tall tale or moderate tale, but, I have to believe it is stretched a little ............. possibly a lot !

My finger is still throbbing I washed it several times in case of infection (all the animals in that area) and put savlon over the cut.
Ive ordered some green tenacious tape to repair my jacket.
I have previous photos of knee injuries when I fell on concrete, they arent comfortable viewing.
My legs are so weak I got stuck in a Tank at Bovington tank museum and in a race car simulator at Goodwood,both times I had to be lifted out.
My last knee operation they had ordered extra blood in case I bled out and warned me they might have to fuse it straight or worse.
I couldnt get up yesterday by myself.

In the British Army of the 70s we carried on even if we had injuries, it was expect of us.
We dont get purple hearts in combat and we get very few medals.

My younger brother used to call me Johnny The Fox.
