What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Love that new Case Barlow in blue ! 😍
I always said that a blue bone Barlow would be purty, but, nobody ever paid any attention to me. Case proved me right ! 🤣
I wonder about the bolster etch or stamp ...... can you feel it ? Do you think the etch or stamp is deep enough to last over time ? I already know that Case blade etches are much deeper than GEC blade etches, which made me ask.

K roo lamb, GEC 15, and the toy I just stepped on 😖.

You land any tricks while you were on it?😁
Virginal Safe Queens…View attachment 2503018As I mentioned the other day, we’re enjoying 3 days of having our Granddaughters here from Georgia while their Mom attends work meetings in Milwaukee and Chicago.
The oldest leaves for Spain on her senior trip this week, so she’s not here. And being a high school senior, she’s busy with choosing college. Since my son was a combat casualty, there are some nice programs available to help make good education affordable for his girls.

But the 16 and 12 year olds are here, as well as the baby ~ a four month old delight. Although Vik flew out when she was born, this is my first chance to meet her. I did almost nothing yesterday other than carry her around, change a few diapers, and feed her with bottles ~ bonding🥰
Only the two older ones are related by blood, being my late son’s girls, but all four are 100% our Granddaughters.
If you’ve been there, you know.

Have a great day!
Sounds like a great way to spend the week, Jeff. Enjoy their stay!

Two small knives in Micarta today before I swapped them out for a barlow tonight.

Sounds a little safer than giving them an energy drink, and teaching them to swear.
 🤣 🤣
Call me Krazy 🤪if you like !!!
At least I do actually use my my so called daily tote and not just bring it out for pics :p

I always admire your stag HHB, Jack, but seeing it on a chocolate pedestal is unforgettable!:thumbsup:🤓
Many thanks Gary :D I've bought a bunch of different NEBO lights, and they're great value :) I even gave Tool Man one ;)

Got the ‘21 and the blue Albers today.

View attachment 2503536I've got these two beauties in the pocket today, and I'm feeling pretty happy about that! 😁
Stunning Ken, I love the lines on your new Lamb
Dr. Ruth was more about sexuality...
I wondered why she kept returning all my letters about pocket knives! 🤣
Sometimes I wake up next to a drool-encrusted Barlow. I think I might've been right about asking Dr. Ruth... 🤣

Of all the folks we lost during the pandemic, John Prine still hurts the most. 😭
Wow, great pic!
Incredible pair there David

You do have a point there.

I guess I'd just rather remember chopping up a bunch of potatoes and onions than remember dipping it in a glass of vinegar? 🤣

I'd wouldn't claim to have never done it, though. Back in my wilder days (2022 🤣), I decided this Red Onion Micarta Coon Skinner needed a red onion-induced patina - but, you're right there too - it looks completely different now! #23 is au naturel.

Nice Will,
Something that is good for natural patina, is a jar of crushed chilli. I spread it on toast😲😁

I would like to thank you on this post, your grankkids will truly appreciate it. My brothers were from my mum's first marriage & their grandmother loved me as just as of the grand kids, I have fond memory staying their as a kid. Or Mumma as she was known as my brother couldn't say grandma
Thank you sir!

Case Knife of the Week is a chestnut jigged bone CV mini trapper. As the patina indicates, I almost always use the spey blade.

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade Knife of the Week is an Imperial Diamond Edge Barlow (thanks, Kevin):
