And it’s going to get better ~ three of my four Georgia Granddaughters are coming today. I get to meet the new one.
Haha! At 3 1/4", this little knife might be the right size for an Ewok.

Thanks, Todd. Thanks Gary, had a great time.
Beautiful canoes, that Case is something special.![]()
What's that golden sleeveboard, the top knife? At first I thought it had TWO awls, but now I wonder if it has any awls at all, but two cutting blades worn down a long way.Hope everyone had a good weekend. Stay Sharp!

Thanks for the additional information on the Carnival costumes.Haha it's just a Carnival costume, otherwise we do own regular clothes. You can see them for about 9 days up to Carnival every year. The Slovenian community in Cleveland does a parade with them too. This mask represents an old Slavic pagan demigod who is scaring away the winter with loud noise and brings fertility to the land and its people. Some people find it scary but it's a benevolent figure.

I like that Barlow with the turkey on the bolster, José (but I don't remember seeing that one before)!
Superior pair of knives, Jack!Terrific trio David![]()
I've run out of time, have to finish catching up later!Starting my week with my Albers Lambsfoot, and a sweet IXL Spearpoint Jack, very kindly gifted me by

Looks like the canoe has been pressed into service as an ice/frost breaking vessel!
Although I live in Michigan, I'm not much of a fan of snow. But the snowy background really adds to that colorful Case photo!
That's a sneaky snake, Chris! The feared Burlap Viper is a passive hunter with the ability to blend effortlessly into it's surroundings. It lies in wait READY TO STRIKE! Don't judge me.

Forewarned is forearmed, Bart!Good to know, Gary. I’m a fan of stouts but I’ll avoid the Little Debbie stout.

Some redwood burl.View attachment 2503090
Couple of A-list knives there, Tom; your stag sowbelly looks like one of the best stockman patterns you could get!Love the super clean lines on your fixed blade Jack
These two in my pocket as I peruse stockman knives online. I realized there are a couple in my collection, but even when I carry them I don’t use them. Not sure why. I am looking at a large Case stockman in carbon steel, jigged bone, and a Buck 301 pretty closely.

Voluptuos vintage pair!
How did the golf turn out for you, Jeff? Glad your "parts" felt good enough to give it a go!Thanks, Bob, it'll be my first time playing in 2 years, but my back and shoulder are better so givin' it a shot. If I can finish 9 holes it'll be a success.
Thanks Gary. It really brought my whole outfit together![]()
Jeff, you can highlight whatever part of a post is relevant to you and a little "Quote/Reply" option will pop up that allows you (by clicking Quote) to add only the highlighted part to your multi quotes list. It's a time and mind saver! Thanks, buddy!
I think in the future, I will simply directly address you in reply rather than quote and then attempt to cleanly delete all the voluminous commentary that doesn’t apply to me. One little slip, and things get wonky.
...
What's all this then???
Jim, you must be one of those "2 is 1, 1 is none" guys! Notable pair!HA !!!.... maybe it's okay to tote the other one then ??

I've lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the past 40 years and so far haven't come up with much info about the United Machine Tool Company. I wonder if local antique stores or estate sales would ever have old Jumbo jack knives for sale.
Checkmate!!

That’s an interesting one, José. Are those handles cork? Are they stabilized in some way?
Excellent carry Barrett, but where are the two slips?![]()
Thanks Barrett, yes the handles are made of cork agglomerate, it's quite solid, but I don't know how they stabilized them.![]()
I like that Barlow with the turkey on the bolster, José (but I don't remember seeing that one before)!
What kind of wood is used for the handles?
Not so good, Gary. We got to the course and it was so crowded we couldn't get on, so I went to a driving range to hit some balls. I over-did it and now my back's spasming again. How did the golf turn out for you, Jeff?
