Pocketing my new Queen/northwoods gunstock today. My first in D2 (nightmare for me to sharpen) and a really well made knife with pinned shield. I was quite happily suprised.


The jigging on the pile side is very nice.

Could someone tell me what is the purpose of the secondary on the TL-29? It looks multi-functional. Thanks.

Greg, its a screw driver, insulation remover and wire stripper. Light prying I suppose if your careful. Some had files and some were sharpened as secondary knife edge.

Thanks. Is the edge facing the scales also sharpened for cutting?

Well, kinda, On most I have seen, the entire edge is not sharpened and its mainly for other types of cutting per se.

If you do a seach online for TL-29 Electrician knives you will find pages and pages of info. I don't know if its proper for me to post the link.

Those TL-29's are an interesting pattern Jack. I do believe I may be examining one more closely real soon.

I decided to carry my #53 these next few days. Tried to capture the patina on the clip and total absence of one on the wharnie....
