That handle turned out great. Although cocobolo darkens significantly, there is a reason it has been used for knife handles for at least 150 years. Very durable wood.

Yes, I love cocobolo, even when it darkens. I don't know what it is about it but it is probably my favorite wood. I like it more than ebony and blackwood.

Glad to see the trouble in the forest was forgiven !
It doesn’t pay to upset the critters.
Back when I use to roam the woods every day, in search of wildlife pics, there were a pair of chickadees that tested one another’s bravery by flying in behind me and bouncing off the top of my cap. ( they knew food was on it’s way )
Always a joy to see what you come up with your pics and you did a fine job on that fixed blade !
