Just had a phone call from our son (Cindy is still on the phone with him) - seems his daughter, our grand daughter had a baby girl last night. That makes me a great grand father . I guess getting old has some advantages after-all. I'll be carrying this Copperhead today. Sausage and ???? for breakfast.

The budget has tightened up but the urge to buy more knives hasn’t slowed down. So, I went ahead n purchased my first batch of Rough Ryders. Included was this beautiful scout in carbon steel. Victorinox was on tomato prunin duty.

Amazing how fast 36 to 40/41 years (+/-) after the youngling is born speeds by, ain't it?
Can be only 18 to 20 years (+/-) from first great grandchild to first great-great, too.

I have a RR scout (SS blades) with the old style can opener.
Rough Ryder makes a solid knife.

I've had three from that black micarta/tool steel series and they are all awesome.

I took 400 grit sandpaper and rounded all the edges of the liners and micarta, then buffed them up and it just made it even better. The large stockman and the half hawk are excellent. The large stockman is almost a 1 for 1 copy of the case #75 pattern except for the obvious rough Ryder details.

I had the #48 with me on the lake this morning. I didn’t catch anything big; all were 10 to 11” but ended up with a quart bag of nice fillets.

It feels like I’ve been running non stop for the last month and haven’t been around here much at all. I finally got a little time to relax and enjoy the forum.

My daughter is showing her 4H rabbit, so we spent all day at the county fair yesterday and just got back from feeding and cleaning this morning. The bunny knife seemed appropriate (or maybe inappropriate?)
