I have figured out to use my Gerber Dime multitool bottle opener to open the A Wright and Son Lambsfoot, since the pull is still a nail breaker after spending a week partially open to increase tension on the spring. Once the blade is partially open past 45 degrees, I can safely open it the rest of the way by hand - there is no half stop.

Without the tool + lanyard from Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley this would be too small to get the proper leverage to pull open the blade. I use my 3rd-5th finger to wrap around the lanyard to help me pull the blade open.

I got a Gerber dime out of somebody's cheap knife bowl. I love those little pliers. With those, and a Shakespeare reel-oiler, and a magnifying SAK, I can shop for knives in any condition.

Ah. Your Rotation Algorithm dishes up one of my favorites. Of yours, I mean. The 93, I mean.

Nothing like a largish two bladed Jack.
Great pair Gary. I always love seeing your Wrangler.
Thanks, Jeff & Bart. :)
I like that 93OT a lot, and it's obviously in my rotation schedule, but it's one of the few knives I have that I've never actually used. Maybe I don't use it because it's the only NIB US-made Schrade I have. That doesn't sound like an "excuse" I would give for not using it, but that's all I can think of to explain my behavior with that particular knife.

Locking Knife of the Week is a Rough Rider canoe with a back lock on the main blade, an unusual configuration for a canoe in my experience:

International Knife of the Week is a burly Italian CEM agricultural knife:
