What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I spent a lot of time in Jeff City on business about 20 years ago, and I always had the idea that there was a Midwestern state named Missouri, and a Southern state named Missourah, and the accents and food and culture were different between the two. (Since it's the state capital, both show up in Jeff City.)
That's more true than not. I worked all over the state and the southeast is more like Arkansas or the Appalachians, while the north is more like Iowa and western MO is getting into the high plains.

The slime mold on the woodchip pile approves of Schrade Ywllow Delrin.
After one day, it turns brown. Either way, it looks like a splat of vomit.
Slime is the perfect decriptor ~ I got it on my knives, so now it’s on my jeans where I wiped the knives.
Still, it’s much better than the molds that put up clouds of spores when I dig into the pile. I have to mind the wind direction, and sometimes wear a respirator, because some of them can make you real sick.
Looking great, Jeff. A sophisticated blade for a sophisticated dude.

Was in the mood to carry an equal end today. Something smooth and classy yet understated. Something yellow but with a hint of gold and brown. Something perfect for any occasion, like attending the opera, or going bowling or cutting the lawn. :D
Ended up cutting the lawn and carrying this moose pattern. :)

Magnificent picture .......... enjoying the trip !
Hope you've indulged in a good seafood dinner. 😍

A tree down on our home is one of my biggest fears. We had rough thunderstorms over the weekend and one of our white oaks is leaning dangerously towards our roof now. I did as much as I could with my pole saw but it's a job for the pros. $1400 later for that one and some "while you're up there" work on some adjacent trees. Peace of mind but a big chunk out of my Blade Show fund

I had a big tree taken out that was near my bedroom, which worried me when the winds or storms rolled through. I paid to have it taken out about twelve years ago. Hurt the wallet and I missed the shade, but, I planted a small tree that will never get very big. It gave me some shade back.

Glad you and yours are ok, Rob  Part of that storm rolled through here late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. No serious damage that I know of, so I don't think we got hit with the brunt of it. That said, the wind woke me up and the lightning was intense. I had a big lead cut off the maple at the corner of my house, earlier this year. It was overhanging the bedroom and every time a big storm would come through, I'd lay awake thinking about it coming down on top of me. Hate to hear of that killing somebody :(

Lovely knives and photography :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you my friend ..... glad you escaped the enemy !😊

Trapper Tuesd...

Wooden Wednesday

Very nice mini trapper !😍

Glad you and yours are unscathed. 😇👍

While 85 mph winds are far under tornado wind speeds (which can be 2x or more faster than a class 5 Hurricane's 🤯😳), is still Class One Hurricane speed, and should not to be taken lightly.
("tropical storm-force" (AKA: "A Slight Breeze" in Kansas 🙄) is 39 to 73 mph.)

Great selection for today's carry, by the way. 👍

Thank you my friend. The wind and driving rain lasted about ten minutes, which was a lot worse than a mere gust front. I was relieved that my new siding and new roof (which were replaced last year after the wind storms) came through it ok. There is a lot of big trees down in my county and the Mesonet stations were reporting 20-30 mph gusts up to the time it hit. Usually those weather instruments can be counted on for wind accuracy. I don't know what happened or if the intensity of the rain was slowing the wind instruments down. Fooled the weather service too because we never received a severe storm warning. :( Elijah J. and I scurried to our rabbit hole (basement) very quickly after I looked out and saw what was going on.

On Jennette’s Fishing Pier today with the #48.

I've been enabled on that fancy tomato knife ...... got one coming in Friday. Nice Abu Garcia too ! 😍🤬🤣

According to the National Weather Service's Fujita Scale, 85 mph is right in the middle of the range for F1 Moderate Tornado.

Pretty stout wind it was, regardless ! 🤣

Highly desirable carries today Mr.P. So glad you and your furry friend made it through unscathed.🙏

Thank you Mr. R. ...... when I tell Elijah J. it's time to go to the rabbit hole, he minds me every time and beats me down there. 🤣

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade Knife of the Week is a Schrade USA 93OT Wrangler I won in a GAW here almost 10 years ago (thanks, Fausto):

Great pair Gary. I always love seeing your Wrangler.
Good Morning Porch Dwellers
I know my carries get a little redundant... I'm a creature of habit I guess.
Nothing wrong with that redundancy, John.
Nice knife and memories! 👍🤠
Thanks David. Great memories of that concert!
Super Cool. 🤠
Where did you see him at?
I saw him a couple times. That particular time was in college at the Cal Poly performing arts center in ‘96. He put on a great show.
Had these two riding in the pocket today.

Very cool. I feel like they made these 39s with you in mind.

I won't argue with that.

i was thinking the potential 350+ mph winds of an f5 tornado.
Had one of those pass through the Wichita, KS area in the early 90's when I resided in Wichita. (can't say I "lived" there. ... 🤨 )

MUCH worse than F5 hurricane winds.
A few weeks ago we saw 101mph near our house on Cheyenne Mountain, and 96mph at the airport! Lots of trees lost, and our steel patio table flew 30 feet off the deck. Well, the table, umbrella, and 2 chairs went flying...
