What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful^^

P - Stunner, a rhapsody in wood. Couldn't wait till Wednesday then;)

Thank you, Sir

Yes!! ...great choice in word, Avoidspam. It reminded me of a Rhapsody in Blues, by George Gershwin, which fits ~P's taste in blue:D too, very classy looking knife!!

Jinx you two haha !

:D

Sarah, we've all seen that one coming, didn't we? ;)
Yes, I will be more favorably inclined towards returning Jeff's knife now that I have its sibling. :p

I had no idea I would like this pattern so much, nor that I wouldn't like all iterations of the same (GEC's store inventory and an otherwise fetching Kingwood that Bob had along left me cold last week end). I'm really glad I waited for this Jobillo; I've never seen anything quite like it-- in a good way.

Hmmm...what's that sheath I spy holding?

Oh, that's just a little something-something I also picked up along the way last week end, upon the delightful surprise of discovering Blind Horse Knives at the Queen Cutlery event.

Just a coincidence. Mine just came up in the rotation today.

 I'd been eyeing that one on Barry's website for weeks and almost pulled the trigger several times (if not for other expenses)......then it disappeared.....wondered where it went.
Glad Jeff's #79 convinced you to take the plunge; you won't be disappointed, Sarah. (I own two and want more!)

I've eyed this knife for weeks as well, and am now glad I took the plunge before Mr Rick posted pictures of his and prompted more of you to seek out "Jobillo"!

"Rhapsody in wood" indeed! I love these covers.... Just crazytalk in color and pattern, yet reminding me of mahogany (thanks, Barry, for your helpful pictures and description). It has a nice heft to it as well, which might not seem desirable in a knife of this relatively large size but which I was hoping for.

... I was going to try to hold out until next Wednesday, but when I saw Mr Rick's picture? There I went posting.

Speaking of which....

If it's possible to overdose on an influx of too many overwhelmingly beautiful, well-suited-for-me-me-me knives within a given span of days, I'm definitely at risk.

Golly dog, what a week.

I picked up this Bob Crowder today at the Montana Knifemakers Association show. Bob is one of the main reasons that we go, always a delight to talk to and always has a knife that interests me. Today it was his Outfitter model, knife #1116, with a mirror polish CPM 154 blade with expertly tapered tang, fine red liners, very nicely matched Sambar stag, brushed finish and dovetailed 416ss bolsters. The mirror polish is second to none and Bob has some of the best hollow grinds in the business.

I have fallen in love with a few patterns... 73, 15, 85EO, but the 68 is slowly winning me over.... My latest in ebony covers.

So many customs and GECs around here?! You guys are right, carrying these for sunday.

Böker Congress with stag covers is with me today... :)

Carrying this one today to the Irish festival, was going to carry my green bone Boker Barlow, but this will do just fine.
Btw, that is a reproduction on a 1925 ka bar catalog.
